Good review. I need to find out if it works well with Linux. The ring light is perfect for what I need. My office is somewhat dark and the window is behind me, so an additional light would make me appear better when on Teams and Webex calls.

tbh all the downsides of the C920 are big downsides, like the bad microphone or no lenses protecting from scratches, plus I don't like how the C920 has a better field of view, of course if you move a lot it's good but it just feels odd, idk, I think I will stick with my C270

I have a cheap little Asus Chromebook C201 that serves me well, especially when travelling, but the spec.'s don't list details of the camera so would the C270 be a big upgrade in video quality are hardly noticeable? I appreciated this video review and think for the price, durability for travelling, and what I'm using it for the C270 is the better choice for me right now but curious to get your input on how much if any video quality I'd gain by using it for Zoom calls. I am Qualitative researcher and I have to do lots of online focus groups nowadays from COVID-19. I keep looking for webcam with good voice and not sure which one should I get between these two.Your vid is very helpful I think I would go with C270 - with my interview job, I would prefer the one with better voice.Thank you very much =)
So on SLOBS, I am able to zoom in and out using the software given from SLOBS with the C270 which is great for my green screen. But does the 920 give the option to zoom in as well? Just got a web cam that did not give a zoom option because of the fixed lenses.
Thanks for the great review!!! You hit a lot of points of concern I have. Application 1: help my granddaughter with her math homework. I needed a device that would allow me to show her examples, but I can't do that (as far as I know) with my cell phone. Application 2: I'm taking some on-line courses to teach/tutor English As A Second Language ... online. So to me, I need a webcam that I can display visuals on the background behind me and delivers my voice well (not muffled sounding). If I had the money, I'd go with the C920 b/c I foresee the need to have a way to mount my webcam on a tripod and the 1080 (I don't know all the jargon yet or why it's important, but I know that it is). Right now I have the C615HD, as well. I haven't opened it as yet. But I bought it because I needed a webcam sooner than later. But I wanted to check out the less expensive of the two first. Hopefully, you have enough info to give me some informed feedback. BTW the 920 is sold out. I went to two Best Buy stores and their Logitech webcams are pretty much gone. Also, is there a way to use a tripod with a webcam that doesn't have a base for it? Thanks.

Your sample of the Logitech Brio is not very flattering.... I guess it needs some configuration to get good color quality... Plus it seems it doesn't cope with motion as well as the LifeCam
Hi! Logitech BRIO appears to be super sensitive to light. Every time you moved your hands and arms, the amount of light was like watching a disco strobe light. (bright-darker-bright-darker). I had paused your video and noticed more unfocused blurry hand movements. I don't think 4096x2160 / 4K agreed with you. I believe best to have at 1080p 30FPS. Also, tweak down the brightness. There is less complications with Logitech C922 however BRIO is supposedly better regarding resolution 2160p vs 1080p. The MS LifeCam Studio still does well considering its age. I have watched other reviews and recently decided to purchase the BRIO, now seeing your YouTube review I am having 2nd thoughts. Price and performance wise the C922 is very good. Want a little extra get the BRIO.- The BRIO is still available at Lenovo as of Feb 5, 2021 today even though the sale/ promotion has been discontinued. If you ask politely for waiver of the sales promotion as to extend the offer to you on Logitech BRIO via online chat sales representative. Pay $159.99 which is 20 percent off instead of $199.99. She was nice enough to ask her manager for approval. Lowest price found was on Amazon at $192. I am still surprise as this product was first released in 2017 or 3 years ago and commands original MSRP of $199.99 USD. Even on Logitech website store it is not discounted. Wonder when Logitech will release a newer webcam product that out performs this one as it has been over 3 years that is under the $200 mark. They have a top Professional Teleconferencing cam which cost close to $1,200 but a far stretch from my budget.
That c922 pro looks like its nowhere near 30fps, it must have a mega slow shutter speed

What happen to the C930e ? some of what you said is not true as well... especially about the 4k native capture,..... there is 3 other 4k's that will .. and HOLY SHIT.. did you actually see the difference in video quality ? the Brio is shit compared to the 922's colors .. on the Brio you looked almost green.. the colors are all pail and pasty... WTF video did you watch?

Wow, the Microsoft camera looked very good for an old camera. The one I found disappointing, at least with your setup and adjustments, is the Brio. Washed out color, bad contrast, grainy, noisy... I've seen other reviews and never looked that bad.Thanks for the review.
The Microsoft goes down to 720p while video calling but for recording it does 1080. What does it do while live streaming on youtube?

The Panasonic g7 really there is no comparison with how good the image quality is. Second it's the Logitech streamcam, however would be interesting to see how Brio performs if used at 1080p 60fps.
I was all set to like the Microsoft LifeCam given the design (the ball joint seems neat) but the video coming from it came across as very dark. The last thing I want when on Zoom is looking shadowed, especially if my room isn't amazingly lit. I'll agree with the reviewer that it does shoot a more even video, but to be honest, I'm looking for something that will make me look a little brighter, a little more vibrant (and being brown bring out some yellowish tones versus enhance the shadows, especially around my eyes). It's a shame because the LifeCam is less expensive and that ball joint design is something to covet.
can you explain how to do the capture card thing so I can use my DSLR Canon EOD 200DII to do live streaming, you said to use an Elgato ?

If you are using a microphone, make sure it's pointed at your mouth. ;-)

Thanks for the comparisons. We have a C920 and I hate the picture quality. Looks like you are using a Instagram filter to smooth out your skin. Just terrible. I think that just may be the case with Webcams though. We have an Alpha 57 DSLR but the HDMI out is more of a console than a video out so using a capture device is out of the question. Will have to look in to that G7.
Why make videos like this.... but use a blue yeti for voice over. Time to upgrade
