Where is a video with the Zildjian I family Mastersound? Everything sounds better on these good mics, it seems. I do remember back in the 90s the ZBT I used in a church setting sounds pretty loud and opening them just wasnt very good to the ears from even closeby!

You can beat the hell outta zbt cymbals and they hold up if there mic’d up right in a good sounding studio they sound great

Looking into a drum set, one on the short list, is the Ludwig Element Evolution set that has the i series cymbals with it... almost think I like them more than what the S series sounded like, with exception of POSSIBLY the S series Hi-Hats.... Maybe eventually some better heads and hats would be the most sensible upgrade to take a beginner kit further. This kit will be for myself, as well as the kids , so don't want stuff I'd be afraid to let them play as well. Thoughts?

I got a planet z pack and the only dislike about the pack is how flattish the crash is but i dont use the pack’s hi hat i had a zht hi hat for 4 years

I have the Planet Z set, and oddly enough, I like the 16" crash but do not like the 13" hats. 20" ride is okay, but barely.

You could get away with everything but the ride... that’s the one cymbal you can’t cheap out on. A shit ride versus an intermediate priced ride is night and day
I love the ZBT series.There are cheap cymbals and then there are inexpensive cymbals and these are the latter.I love the crispness of the hi hats and the configuring tones that the 16inch and 18inch cymbals produce is perfect.That 20 inch ride cymbal's bell cuts through the mix as well as any other ride out there.

Players today have a great selection of low-end / cheaper cymbals all the way up. Back in the late 80's and early 90's there wasn't nearly the selection. I wish there would have been more options back when I had less money. Funny thing is, now I have more money and I will buy some of the cheaper cymbals if I'm looking for a particular sound. Some good sounds from these lower-end cymbals, especially on the effects side. I mix in a bit of everything these days, but most of my cymbals are still higher-end simply because of the sounds I want. I certainly wouldn't shy away from these lower-end cymbals if I was just starting out or was on a tight budget. Great options.
i started on sabians. they were rugged cymbals. lasted a long time. you could beat on them. the wuhans are really nice for that price, but a beginner won't understand how to control that. i suspect beating on them, they'll dent or crack. the meinl are crap sounding no matter how you look at them. the zildjian have some really high hz overtone rings. the paiste crash was nice, but the rides n hi hates were better on the other models. i;'d take the wuhan ride or sabian ride, one is good for jazz, the other for metal, sabian/wuhan 16", zildjian/paiste 18", and zildjian hi hat.
All these kits are BARELY what you need. They never give you any uselful cymbals like 22" rides, sound edge hi-hats. Just the bare minimum garbage.
Since hearing the HCS bronze series, imma falling in love! Zildjian improved too with that I pro gig series.
By far Zildjians were best
I appreciate how the stereo image changes when the front and top cameras are being used so it matches where the cymbals are. Cool :)

I’d definitely play those Wuhans! They sound the best overall I think. And the Meinl set has great sounding hats.

1: wuhan; 2 meinl; 3 zildjian; 4paiste last sabiam. The 90's b8 sabian had much more quality. In Brazil where I live the begginer set cost around $500- 2000. Is so hard to be a musician here
