Where is a video with the Zildjian I family Mastersound? Everything sounds better on these good mics, it seems. I do remember back in the 90s the ZBT I used in a church setting sounds pretty loud and opening them just wasnt very good to the ears from even closeby!

You can beat the hell outta zbt cymbals and they hold up if there mic’d up right in a good sounding studio they sound great

I have been saying this for YEARS that not all "cheaper" cymbals are bad...to be honest every manufacturer of cymbals has a "affordable" line of cymbals that sound pretty freakin' good ...I personally a pair of Sabian XS 14' hi hats . a XS 2'" ride and a 18" XS crash .....so before you bash em crash em first
What’s the difference between the A pack and the standard K pack with the dark thin crashes?
listen to how dead the bell is on that 18" crash. Horrible. And the crashes sound so restrained. As if the metal is being choked,. Ugh. They still do the best hi hats however. Zildjian was my choice for over 45 years..but they have just declined so much can't do it anymore. Over to Paiste.
this is still my favorite line of Zildjians. They just sound how cymbals should sound.
@memphis drum shop What would be your thoughts on pairing the HH and the ride from this kit with the crashes of the A custom? To me the new beats HH and sweet ride are great but the crashes from the regular A series just aren't as "crashy" and fun as the a custom crashes. Anyway, yeah, would be great to know if you've any experience with this combo/ how you reckon they would sound together... Cheers
21 sweet ride can be used as crash. Very beautiful soft sound.👍
I own this set and they are perfect for most genres of music. These cymbals occupy the sweet spot between the K series and A Customs.

I own this set and they are the best cymbals I have played. Absolutely love them. I expanded on the original set by adding a 17 and 20 medium thin crashes. I love crashing on the ride to which is a first for or me since I mostly used rides for tbe ping sounds
I own this set and just recently bought an 18” A Fast Crash. Mixes well and they all rock hard
For some reason idk why but I like the sound of these more than the a customs
18 is bad, everything else is pretty good. def gonna switch to the sweet crashes when i get this. also prefer 13 new beats

This seems like a great set, and I'd love one, but I'm a bit stuck because of the ride. I'm not sure whether I'd prefer at 23 inch sweet ride inside.

Looking into a drum set, one on the short list, is the Ludwig Element Evolution set that has the i series cymbals with it... almost think I like them more than what the S series sounded like, with exception of POSSIBLY the S series Hi-Hats.... Maybe eventually some better heads and hats would be the most sensible upgrade to take a beginner kit further. This kit will be for myself, as well as the kids , so don't want stuff I'd be afraid to let them play as well. Thoughts?

I got a planet z pack and the only dislike about the pack is how flattish the crash is but i dont use the pack’s hi hat i had a zht hi hat for 4 years

I have the Planet Z set, and oddly enough, I like the 16" crash but do not like the 13" hats. 20" ride is okay, but barely.
