Paiste PST 5's sound a million times better and are probably about the same price. I love some Zildjian cymbals but your "budget" cymbals are not included in that love. Sorry.

The hats and both crashes sounds good, but i'll change the ride with a ZBT one, a bit higher yet a good ride cymbal

the only thing i find good about these are the hi hats, i would recommend arborea b8 cymbals instead

My favourite is by far the planet Z . The low budget sounds like a tin can and the avedis sounds too thin and highly pitched, yet more clean and precise .

I made a pretty similar upgrade of hats. I started with the stock hi hats that came with my beginner kit. I upgraded to some Paiste 101 brass hats which sounded much better but weren't the best sounding hi hats. I finally saved up enough money to buy my self some A mastersounds, and their sound is un matched. The mastersounds are the best hi hats i've ever heard.
