Low Volume Cymbals - Sabian Quiet Tone vs. Zildjian L80
I like the hats. everything else can go. they sound too chincy
gostei mais do orion tw
De graça é caro!
Som feio da pega.
Now THIS is how you do a review - no talking, just playing. Very well done!
Meio inútil esses pratos
o prato e furado vem metade do prato no caso e ainda pago 2000 nisso
Aaron Spears usa para fazer efeitos
Pra ter esse som, qualquer prato de estudo tem. Por um preço bem inferior. a não ser que Vc. Goste de grife.
Tá faltando um volume nesses pratos
qual a lógica desses pratos?
as baquetas dão mais som do que os pratos, mais o de 18 polegadas eu curti o som.
Se tratando de zildjian, esse kit deve custar uns 4.000
Brilhante ideia deles!
muito bacana parabéns...
qual a logica desses pratos ? :s
Them silent cymbals suck compared to the normal ones.
2:08 favorite kind of beat
Some one needs to make low volume effects cymbals ie trash crash also bigger crashes (19 or 20) that you can ride without them moving about too much
Is he using real heads or mesh?
I first tried these out in a Guitar Center when I lived in California. That was a couple of years ago. Recently, I purchased a complete set of Zildjian's LV80s and I absolutely love them. One thing that I discovered is in regard to the 18" Crash Ride. After inverting the cymbal, I was able to achieve a wonderful "bell" sound from the bell itself. I have read many a complaint about the lack of response, so I experimented with inverting the cymbal, and the bell comes through loud and clear. For those who have experienced this, do as I did. I think that you will be pleasantly surprised.
Just bought these today, can’t wait to try them out.
There is beauty in how they sound played quietly...with rods or ballistics, brushes or mallets - they are amazing and unique sounding cymbals not just for practice.
Not good for people with trypophobia
Se liga no Groove! Pegaaaaa tooop lembrar-se bateras unidos jamais será vencidos ☕🎶👍👀🇧🇷
Can you PLEASE add a 12 inch splash to the S series?
Costly shit! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
These sound awful. The biggest positive about these cymbals is slapping a piezo trigger underneath the cymbal and using it as an electronic cymbal pad. I use them this way and the silver ones look fantastic on stage and in videos.
wouldve been nice cymbals to have,if i had the money for it
Bring back the Z’s Reunion
First
I wish someone could make a low volume ozone cymbal
10 minutes of talking to here 2 1/2 seconds of the cymbal.
Thanks Jerry 🎶💪🥁
I'm getting the 14" 16" 18" set . I already got the 20" China.
Off topic but man what is the trap instrumental in the background? I got distracted from what you were saying by it because it's so good
How does this sound as far as a low stage volume situation? Could you mic these and get a good tone out of them?
Thank you for playing and talking at the same time. I've been wondering just HOW quiet these are in comparison to conversation levels and you're the only video I've seen that does that. So, thanks a bunch! Planning on getting a set of these in 14" hats, 16"/18" crashes, 20" Ride and the 18" China and 10" Splash (maybe even a second china and crash for a stack) along with a SJC Busker DeVille kit w/ some Drum-tec mesh heads for a low volume at home practice set.
They sound so dead they are too quiet for my taste.
Hey man. Does the sound reach other rooms ? How high/low ? I need to know whether I should sound proof my room + use these with Rtom on snare/toms/bass. Nice video btw.
Zildjian, this comment is for you: what I'd like to see is a larger line-up like I've seen from much lesser-known brands. So, a china, a few different sized crashes, 8, 10, and 12 inch splashes, and a few different china sizes. They should all be offered individually as well. I live in a Twin Home and I'm playing my acoustic kit on a regular basis as painfully quiet as I can and I'm tired of it. I have a big cymbal setup that I would love to replace with all low-volume cymbals while I'm home so that I can have the same setup I have now complete with mesh heads. That will enable me to continue working on muscle memory and new drum parts and existing drum parts. If I had to cut down my cymbal setup because I'm switching to mesh heads and low-volume cymbals, then that would be rather tough for me. You see, my idea here is: be able to replace my entire cymbal setup with low-volume cymbals without having to move or re-adjust any cymbal stand in order to accommodate for different cymbal sizes.
Then should make something called quiet drums, i know it’s an oxymoron, but it would be nice to have everything quiet so someone won’t have to leave the room just so you can play drums
Who else agrees paiste should make a line of low volume cymbals
Team Zildjian
Agean R Series low volume cymbals may be a better option.
As a Sabian guy, I'll admit the Zildjin's are a tad quieter however I barely if at all heard any sustain from them, unlike the Sabian's making them sound better.
*sees RimRiser* "Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well."
What is the hihat used to compare?
I'll be getting those for christmas this year
in this category Sabians are brigther than Zildjian.
Drums are so loud that drowns out the cymbals. They don't sound anything like any of the videos. You need to hear them live.
I got the Sabian Quiet Tone cymbals from Sweetwater, which is weird because I play Zildjian cymbals. Oh well.
They both suck.
Does anybody know how these fair at a live gig? I love the idea of having a quiet stage
Are the Zildjian L-80s made in the US?
Which one of the two brands fits better with the RTom Black Hole pads? Volume wise
Zildjian L80 for me when it comes to decibel down
I'm so torn. I literally don't know which ones to get. I love the look of the Sabians ad they'll cut thru when im playing with headphones on my electronic kit. But The Zildjians are even quieter so... I think i'll go for volume over looks in the end but i'll save up the money for set & stands first then decide.
What size are the L80s used in the video? Cheers
The sabian FRX are awsome for low volume stuff also! They’re not super quiet like these here but still amazing and the sound quality is great
Very useful, thank you man!
