That 18 inch sounds awesome but the 16 sounds like a 14 inch A series to me, rather strange

I think the K Custom Dark Cymbals are the HHX Complex Thins and Mediums of Zildjian.

Man atleast with my taste they can work miracles for metal jazz blues and classical . They're deffinately the best next to paiste signatures , sabian hh, and sabian hhx evolutions . Dude...... I seriously got emotional the first jam I had them in with my old band really easy to play any way but traditionally jazz blues and funk these rose to fame with

I just bought these and a 17inch k custom hybrid. I also bought them from sweetwater. Sweetwater has the best service and they give you a bag of candy with every purchase
Your choking your cymbals
My drummer bought the exact same cymbal pack and this video gives you a really good representation of how they actually sound. Personally, they're not my taste for 950$. They're too dark, they have too much chime in the wrong places, and they decay way too fast. I'd rather buy the Zildjian S series Performer pack with a 16" china, a 8"regular splash and an 8" china splash.
What kind of drum set?
Anyone know whether these are thicker/thinner than the K custom darks? And any opinions on which set would be better for a general rock type of sound (alt rock, punk rock etc.)? Thanks.

One of the most recent Zildjian cymbals that I've been getting questions about it the Zildjian K Sweet Line of cymbals. So here's a demo of the K Sweet cymbals from my friends over at Zildjian. What I love about Zildjian is that the cymbals sit so well in the music. When you hit them by themselves, you go "Ok, that sounds pretty good". But when you get them in the mix on the gig, the cymbals just really shine...they sit perfectly in the mix. I have not had this experience with all brands of cymbals. Now, gear is a personal thing. The reason I'm doing these demo videos of different cymbals and gear is not to persuade you to go out and buy them. It's to give you an honest look and listen to what they sound, feel, and look like. The decision as to what cymbal you play is completely up to you. What one person loves, another hates. And that's the beauty of the world we live in. It's ok to say "I love that sound" or to say "I HATE that sound". You will not hurt my feelings either way lol. You do you. That's what makes me the happiest.
21" ride is a go for me.
Mine should be to the shop this coming week. I got the 15", 17", 19" and 21" K Sweets. Can't wait to pick them up!

wow the ping hurts my ears I will stay with the k special dry series line because og how thin they are it is easily comparable to byzance lines of cymbals I love low end cymbals just because I am a blues /rock drummer thank you for demoing cymbals without people like you we could not make a choice on with to choose from you helped my make a choice on k special dry cymbals i am very honored about how much you care to give inspiring video's

I was considering buying these for myself to play at my new church that I’ve started practicing in . do you think these would be a solid foundation to start ? To go for the worship,contemporary sound, and since I congregate at a Hispanic dominate church there be will Latin rhythms as well ... 😅 I’ve had A customs b4 but I donated them to my old church b4 I left and I don’t want to buy them again I want something different, I’m really loving these please let me know what you think bro. Nice dude! I’m thinking about getting the K Sweet 14” hats and possibly the K Sweet 21” ride. Not sure if I’m gonna get both of these yet but I definitely want to soon!

Those packs are great, but the only negative point is that they are always (or almost) the same sizes (14, 16, 18, 20), wich ain't bad, really. But if someone wants other sizes, like 15 hats, 22 ride, 19 or 20 crashes, etc, there's no choice. You have to buy each of them separately then. It would be great if Zildjian offered the possibility of "customizing" your pack by choosing your sizes. If these packs suppose a discount of X% regarding the same cymbals purchased separately, they could do the same thing. If you buy a basic set (hh + cr x 2 + rd), you have a discount of X%.

Great set! To be honest, this is probably my favorite set I’ve ever purchased. HHX Evos are a close second, but I still have my Ks and will never sell or trade them.
