I have one of these and struggle with it’s wash. It can get “power hungry” if you don’t get it right. Been looking to find a Jack DeJohnette signature ride from the late 80’s (the dark brown ones) to trade. One day maybe.
I'm an all around drummer. I'm a person that loves versatile cymbals, especially the ride. I love a ride with good stick articulation, a great bell, and a mighty dark yet a little trashy crash. It's one seems to cut it for me. And it's in 21 inches. I've always gotten 20" and 22" rides, never a 21". Where can I get it or am I to late
Got one myself.. but I'm think to switch it with a 22 K Custom dark ride

I found one of these used at a store in Ct and I fell in love with it.....I'm a K Zildjian guy since the 60's...funny thing,though,I was looking for a SNARE DRUM CASE!!!

Eh, I’ve heard these played with some sick bell sounds. Not sure if this one just does not have a nice bell or the player just hit in such a way to avoid the bell. The K’s have this like dullness to them sometimes to my ear. Like they are not just dry, they are a little too dry. Cool playing though, definitely better than anything I can play.

It's pretty esoteric. I like it. I'd find a use for it. Wouldn't be a main axe for what I mainly play but? Would be a nice effect crash for it.
