How much is this set of cymbals
IVE BEEN IN LOVE WITH A CUSTOMS FOR 25 YEARS!!! I honestly feel that of all the zildjian lines(a,k,z,zbt, etc.) This is the only universal series....you can use these to play EVERYTHING. I just wish the crashes had the same decay as the Paiste 2002 series. you could combine the tonality and sound of an a custom with the resonence behavior of a Paiste 2002 it would be god-like.
They're really good for what they are. It's just this style of cymbal sound isn't very popular right now. But if you're playing modern rock, in a working cover band they're a good all around workhorse cymbal.
just bought this pack to replace my crappy cymbals. they haven't arrived yet but they sound absolutely gorgeous. I've been so hyped that during classes I've been checking the shipping status for the pack. can't wait!
I recommend you if you can’t afford this ones, you can buy the S series, I have a whole kit, they’re very similar

I have this pack. They're great! They're amazing! But... my 16" crash cracked bc it's such a thin cymbal. I would say that these aren't for us hard-hitting drummers. I love them so much, but either get Pro Coverage on them or don't buy them at all if you hit your cymbals hard.

I’m getting some hi hats for Christmas and a ride and a 16 in crash for Christmas and I can’t wait bc I have a 14 in pair of Zbt hi hats but they are rusty and 6 yrs old and I have planet Z’s but they sound trash. I can’t wait for a hi hat upgrade

get the impression both drummers cannot really "ride " cymbals , all the same hits on the same place , no accents , no triplets . Makes me sad.

I have a 22cm I series ride cymbil a 20cm acrash 16 cm acrash14 cm a crash ride 18 cm a splash 10 inch cm a And two sets of a 14 hi hats and a 13 Hi hats all Zildjian I series they don't ring out a lot For worship music they sound great cause don't carry on out to long I can get a lot of carry out longer if want to with them . I see most dont use The Zildjian I Series cymbils.

I know this is a year old video, but I'm just about to start trying to learn how to record my own drums and I'm trying to figure out what cymbals I need to get to make that process as easy as possible starting out. I've always been a fan of and mostly use larger cymbals. To be exact, at the moment I have Paiste 2002 24" ride (which I also use as a crash), 20" 2002 crash, 20" 2002 Wild crash, and sometimes I'll throw up my 24" Wuhan China when I want to get real trashy and loud. Pretty sure I have hi hats covered because in addition to my Paiste Dimensions Crunch hats, I also have a set of 14" Zildjian K Custom Dark hats. Tried using them jamming some and they did not cut through at all, so I'm assuming they'd be fine under the mics. Since this video is specifically about ride cymbals, what would be a good ride choice that sounds good when crashed, has good wash when played towards the edge, but also has a bell that will cut through? I often only use one of my 20" "crash" cymbals and then my 24" 2002 as a crash/ride, so being able to crash on a ride is somewhat important, but I know recording is vastly different from a live situation. It's been a while, but back when I used to play a lot, I believe every time whatever band I was in went to record, I had to borrow different cymbals from friends because the engineers always said mine were too overpowering. I'd greatly appreciate any tips. I've used Zildjian 21" A sweet and 20" K Custom Dark rides in past and like them, but I used them as crashes, not rides. I've been considering the 23" A Sweet ride, but then I'm not sure that's not too big for recording drums in a fairly small room.
My favourite is the old custom special dry K’s. Very dry, warm and dull when played direct without sounding “tinny” or trashy. Lots of low end with a polite amount of resonance. Yet when played in a more heavier, washed out fashion, they instantly open up and come to life with tons of sustain and depth. Still very warm, still lower in tone then average, but they sing. I’ve never been able to stand bright cymbals with lots of high end “ping”. Live I find it so distracting. At the same time, a lot these new dry and dark cymbals I hear coming out sound either extremely flat and trashy, or they have tons of resonance bleeding through and drown everything out.
K sweet was my favorite
