These are not the Oriental Trash Splashes. These are just Oriental China Trash's. The Trash Splash's are more of an actual "splash" cymbal, whereas these would be classified as just smaller "Chinas."
Get a different drummer. He doesn’t seem to under anything but that one beat lol

can you stack a china and splash of the same size?
These stacks with these small Chinas on top sound good but not durable at all. Obviously since you are hitting a tiny china with the lip facing up it will crack eventually but I’ve seen so many of these being played crack and chipped, still sounds pretty good though even when it’s cracked so as long as it’s not chipping off huge pieces you should be good but definitly something to keep in mind for the money.
Everyone needs at least one splash or something like this for any kit. It’s necessary in my book.

I have made an interesting discovery with my cymbals. I found that the 12" oriental china trash was a bit too loud on its own and had too much sustain and not enough attack. Thats why I use an inverted 9" oriental trash splash underneath an inverted 12" oriental china trash cymbal. Now it sounds much sharper and only just a little choked, but sounds much better! Zildjian, please tell me what you think of my Idea.
Wouldn't hitting the edge of that tiny the cymbal like that cause it to break??
I tried this stack today and the mini China sounded good but "gongy" too much ringing tonal resonance , nothing like this video . I find that cymbals vary so going to try at different place 1 more time

Would love to see a 9" Oriental Trash Splash with an 8" Oriental China Trash stacked on it...if'n y'all don't mind... switching to Zildjian and I'm trying to get "that" small hi-stack sound back with Zildjian products...and it's harder than I thought! :)
