Tao tronics a3000, just bought some for $60 and read a lot of good reviews.
I am looking for advise. My Wi-Fi is from a att modem that is wireless to my tv and Alexa cube, no cable to my modem, just LTE off air. This is a one room system, Sony Bravia tv, Polk sound bar etc. I am looking to improve streaming performance like from Amazon and other app sources. My system now is wire less. I think I need stronger Wi-Fi signal, Please advise as to what would improve my streaming performance. Thank You David Quartzsite AZ.
Great presentation! Thank you!
Time to invest into a better audio/microphone…
*How do you compare these against the Eero 6E Pro with Zigbee though?* Granted, I understand your video was made last year when this wasn't available but would like to hear your advise as of today.
what about Asus vs google Nest 3*2200 sq?
Stay away from Asus XT8.
Fabulous comparison thank you.
Some of them are so overpriced.
I have the oldie Orbi rbr50 and been great but I wanted to take advantage of wifi6 devices. My modem is not wifi 6 standard AT&T 1 gig, I recently got the Asus xt8 but my speeds were slower and my oled tv which is connected by Ethernet was slow or didn’t load YouTube videos. Not sure what’s up with it but I may go with Orbi RBK752 or RBK852. Your thoughts on why the Asus was an issue for me?
Eeero is not even in the same ballpark. Easy to use but so slow its almost funny.
Fantastic video, detailed and precise.
you da man, thanks for this
Awesome review. I’ve been looking at the mesh systems so this was very helpful. I have an ASUS RT-AX82U router but I’m about to move into a 3500 sq. ft. house. Do you think I should buy another Asus router and try to mesh them or just get their mesh system? It’s a two-level house and not sure if the regular router approach will do it.
Just subscribed , great videos. Love your comparison videos and how you keep it simple for us peasants :)
AX4200 doesn't do 2.5, it only has 1GIG WAN port
Nice comparison videos Dude! Appreciate the work you put in on these
What about meshforce M7
One stop channel to learn everything about mesh . Question: in terms of connection strength what would you recommend to connect two houses together (~25ft apart) . I use a 200mbps connection.
At the time you recommended holding off on the x90 until the firmware got some needed updates. Would you say this has happened by now and/or would you still suggest avoiding it if the others were an option still?
Great video! but just want to say your password is still revealed at 09:09. Hopefully you have already changed it.
This video seems to be a paid advertisement with advertisements (from YouTube)
GREAT JOB
Excellent video. Answered all of my questions. Thanks
What if I have a unmanaged network switch that requires it to be connected to the router. How do i connect to it?
I thought it was toilet paper
Why not Ruckus R650 Unleashed?
I agree to one of the comments here. Please use a Xiaomi phone running miui 12.5 and review the miui. Also share your thoughts on Xiaomi's custom skin. It's a request of many of your viewers for sure.
WiFi mesh can look so good. Beautiful
I thought this is a roll of toilet paper
This content is way too good
Request : Try using a MIUI smartphone and give your thoughts about the ui and give recommendations(if you interested)️

Great review. How long does it take to power boot up from off state till your device can detect?
Just a note to the creator; 5/5 video. Everything was explained perfectly for me to make a buying decision. I have a Netgear Orbi RBK753 and have had nothing but multiple daily reboots from the main router. Every piece of troubleshooting gone through, and now that it’s just out of warranty I am left with some expensive paperweights. I won’t give Netgear any of my money again. Which leads me to this video, as I figured I’d look for some alternatives. I’ve decided that the ASUS XT8 is what I’m changing to. Whilst many other videos were helpful, this one tipped me over to going for it. Thanks for all the efforts you put in, and for making the test’s clear and visual, along with the advice you offered. Great work! Thanks Edit: The Netgear Orbi RBR750 may have a common RAM issue causing the reboots, but it isn’t a recognise issue with Netgear. EDIT 2: Netgear provides a 1 year warranty whilst ASUS provides 3 years for this model. Well done ASUS
Thank you very much for the thorough review, mate. My Razer Sila 3-mesh system is finally taking a dump and it's time to upgrade. I just ordered 3 of these, so hopefully I don't have any problems; I've heard mixed things, but hopefully enough time has passed to fix the firmware issues people were talking about. Can't wait to set it up!
I wonder how does it far through marble decored walls
Sorry I know this probably isn't the best place to ask this but Im not getting any answers from ASUS Hoping I can get some advice on the below issue I am facing I have an XT8 as the only router with around 20 devices connected to it I am supposed to get 500mbps speeds through my ISP but I am consistently getting around the 200-220 mark across the entire property (2 floors) no matter where I stand. I find that when I use the Asus speed test it shows speeds around the 500 mark however if I used the downloaded speedtest app the speeds are 200-220 So I have 4 questions. 1. Should I replace my AImesh system with something else (I am thinking 2 AX92U'S) and if so, what is the best AImesh set up for a large property? 2. Any reason why my speeds are consistently lower than the 500 Mbps (even if I am directly above the XT8 thr speeds are still 200-220)? 3. Any idea why the Asus app is showing different speeds compared to that of the speedtest app? 4. The router speeds tend to fluctuate quite a bit and some time drops (although it drops very infrequently/briefly).
I've read a lot of people saying you only have one 5ghz band for clients to use and the other is dedicated for backhaul (even if you use a wired connection). Can you confirm this?
NO!
Is there any disadvantage to creating separate SSIDs for 2.4 and 5Ghz for the purposes of getting some smart devices to connect correctly? I’ve read that some devices won’t know to automatically connect to the 2.4 when both are broadcast under the same SSID. I definitely have some devices that will only connect to 2.4 so that’s problematic. Does separating them defeat the purpose of the mesh system?
I’m confused between ET8 and XT8 I have a 3 story home. Can you do a comparison video between them pls ty
Hey, great video which lead me to purchasing a pair of xt8’s. However, I am getting slow upload speeds and from my online research this seems to be a common issue! A lot of people have returned theirs for an Orbi because of it. Any ideas on what I can do to resolve? Thanks!
Hi, I have a router/modem from my internet provider and the router function can not disable, can i hook up these xt 8 2 pack mesh wifi 6 on it as ap?
Thank you for making a truthful video about the ASUS ZenWifi AX XT8. They do drop off regularly and just die to a point I have gone through the manufacture in getting replacements three times with a year of purchase. However, I am now inclined not opened the new replacements because I would like to just sell them before I use them so I that I can use that money towards a different brand.
It's rubbish man no better than my RT 55 asus router in my mesh system .I tested it in the bedroom and right next to the actual router it will be connecting showed a weak signal ,I thought I was dreaming, but no it seems ASUS do not have a very good range on any of their products and this one is going back to Amazon.
I already have a decent router can I use these two devices as extenders? And how would I initially set up?
Thank you for the great review! I am going to be setting up a wired back haul, does this system have a dedicated wireless backhaul or would I be able to connect devices to the second 5 ghz channel? I was looking at eero pro 6 because it doesn’t have a dedicated channel.
I really appreciate that you showed & talked about the router's software. I've watched several hours of videos as I prepare to buy a new wifi 6 mesh system, and this video is the first to show & talk about a router's software. Thanks!
When you’re doing the wireless backhaul test, how far are the routers from each other? And how many walls between?Thx for the great review!
Don't waste your time running Wifi as it is very slow and not consistent I run cat6a cable throughout my house. Have a Synology 8-bay NAS with 8 Seagate fast exnos drives running raid 6 array with intel dual 10Gbe ethernet in running link aggregation on both ports to my 10Gbe switch. All my pcs are also connected to 10Gbe network switch and they are running fast Samsung M.2 SSD along with intel dual 10Gbe ethernet cards. I get SUSTAINED transfer speeds of 1,200 MegaByte or 1.2GB per second! With that speed that can move a 4.7GB DVD movie through the network in under 5 seconds.
Just purchased it will look forward to setting it up
Thanks for the review. As many have said your explanations and information is very helpful. I’m gonna give this system a shot. I bought the Orbi RBK753 from Costco and it keeps losing connection to my Xfinity modem/router. I like Orbi’s but it has lost connections too many times for me to keep trying (in bridge mode and not bridge mode). Hopefully the Asus will perform better.
Thanks!
I'm leaning towards the Asus XT8. I've had good experience with Asus routers before so I think it's a safe bet for me. Easy to set up from oas experience.
TP Link Deco is not compatible with Samsung A53 phones. Disconnect/Connectivity issues It's a known problem in TP Link forums (Aug 2022). I had to return the Deco X60 and got the Asus Zen instead.
Got the prices Orbi, and simply put. Perfect.
A company as big as Google should've had Wi-Fi 6 mesh a year ago.
Which. One. Gave. You. A. Great. Signal. In. Your. Basement. That’s literally the only question I wanted answered and you completely swung hard whiffed bad on it…
Hi Chris, I have a basement which is below 10 inches of concrete, can you tell me if any wifi router cater for this, currently I am running ethernet over power and old router so service the basement. Thanks
Too expensive. Even the $99. wants u to spend more money to get that range to work. Search goes on for my 2 bedroom house with basement, office work from home and security cams around the house to work with. Thx tho.
Coming from a network technician, if you're going to get a mesh system do not, and I repeat do not. For the love of God and all things good do not get a linksys velop system
Hey Chris what is the paint code for the black paint in your theater room
Thank you kind sir. Subscribed off this first video.
Have have an older Linksys Velop mess router system. Can it be linked to this one to increase distance. My house is about 5000sqft with an upstairs on one end. The house is very long and has cat6e cable ran throughout so the satellites can be hard wired! Also I’m about to switch to fiber optic provider, will the effect my mesh systems or which one I use?
Impressed with the review, even though I'm two years late finding it. Subscribed.
Thanks chris im from indonesia, information
My Computer and modem are downstairs whild the TV , laptop are upstairs. What do you suggest. The house is basically 1800 sq. ft. per floor
Thanks Great video as always
Can I pay you for advice about my house wifi system?
Fuck all that. Get a Unifi U6-LR
what about if I get the speeds I need should I still get this unit
Eero fucking sucks only good near the main router
