To me this YN 685 is well worth the price and I highly recommend it. But the more manual flashes are a bit cheaper and worth it as well! Buy the flash here: Bhphoto: Nikon- Canon- Amazon: Canon- Nikon- , I have YN560 TX Pro, but it only works (far as I know) with RF603 slave mode, and I can't figure out how to use HSS, and if i can use it, any tips? It seems the 685 is the only Yongnuo that inherently includes a 622TX receiver. I don't think that's true of the 560IV.
Hey Eric, just saw the video-awesome! I'm looking at my YN685s and when I go through the menu there is no "signal" choice only the "slave indicator". I've been using Yongnou transmitters/receivers to sync my units. Do you think it's an older version?

Doesnt have optical slave like canon 600ex
You send triggers a few times. I would say instead, you still need a Transmitter but you do not need Receivers because the Receiver is built in.

Mine doesnt work! The blue light wont go away, even though the batteries are fully charge or the flash is off. Its just shuts down for no reason. But before its shuts down there are letters that pops up on the lsd like P.L and a battery sign. I’ve been trying to fix it but still it doesnt work. Help please

I'm new to flash photography I love this speedlite so far. I watch countless YouTube videos before purchasing and everyone said I would be getting the best bang for my buck. I definitely wasn't looking to spend big money I am on a tight budget went out and did a night photoshoot to test and pics came out great. Flash includes a diffuser and white bounce card
I have seen various tutorials on how to do a firmware update for the YN685N but the instructions do not work for the Canon version. When I turn-on the YN685C with the “MODE” button depressed it does not enter a firmware update mode and just powers up as normal. I have seen that many others have the same issue. Can you explain how I can get the flash unit to accept the firmware update from the YN622C-TX. Thank you.

I have the older YN568EX that had major problems with the battery door. The door broke from the pressure of the battery's. Does this new Yongnuo  YN685 also have issues with the battery door ?
My Yongnuo 685 stopped flashing with Remote Control. Communication is O.K. Test Flash both with Remote Transmitter and On Flash Works. But when I press the shutter, it won't flash. Batteries are new. Can anyone help and know why? Thank you!

is this model able to trigger/command radio to others off camera/external flash without using 622c on the hotshoe? i want a flash that i can use as master radio wireless without having to use 622c on hotshoe. i.e: only the flash on hotshoe. i know that yn600exrt does this well.
