Is the Yongnuo YN-565EX ETTL Speedlite Flash a i-TTL Flash ?
Unfortunately my YN565EX has felt on the floor and battery cover is damaged. Reflection board and wide angle diffuser felt out from their compartment. I manage to find spare battery cover but have problem how to reach inside the diffuser compartment. It is over flash head and seems separated, but I am afraid to employ force to detach it by screwdriver or knife. Do you know what is the right way to remove this cover. Thank you.

Hi. I have a flash similar to yours. It's NEEWER SPEEDLIGHT NW656EX. My camera type is Canon SX60 HS, which is a bridge camera. The flash is really good. But it seems that either the flash is powerful than the camera or I didn't get the settings right. The reason is that when I mount the flash on the camera and put both on, the flash is always adjusting all the time. You can hear the sound all the time. Will you be able to advice on this? Alternative, can you suggest a very good, not expensive flash for my camera? Thanks

I'm new to flash photography I love this speedlite so far. I watch countless YouTube videos before purchasing and everyone said I would be getting the best bang for my buck. Great video. If I bought more 565ex flashes could I use them all together say on different light stands and just use a 565 ex on the camera to fire them as long as they were on slave 2 channel 1. This is a good flash there are many options today to buy but this is a good option, i use before this flash so many times on live events and sessions and do the work fine. If you want a flash before buy one please read the features, test, etc because there are many entry and pro features, price etc and you got what you pay and your needs . i recomend this simply and nice very usefull yongnuo

It's August 2019 and I just received up my Yongnuo 565EX-II today; manufactured in 2017. There are lots of newer flashes from Yongnuo but I stuck with this one because I also have an old bridge camera - Canon SX50 HS (circa 2013, purchased in 2016), and the 565EX line was confirmed by another SX50 HS user as working properly in ETTL with it. Many flashes won't talk to this camera and I'd be stuck in manual flash, giving yet more to concern myself with. So this was a proven pairing. The 565EX-II is sturdily built, first off. Like too many flashes though, the amount of resistance to close the battery cover is worrisome. I pump the AA batteries up and down to wear in the spring metal and reduce the push back against the cover. Those little closure hook tabs are very prone to snapping, not a risk that's unique to any particular brand. So far I'm very happy with the image results after an hour of messing about in a dimly lit room loft. I have a small strap on softbox to experiment with as well. All in all, I'm eager to run through the settings and be ready for future shoots. Mostly now I'll be doing stone and metal sculpture in galleries and homes. I photographed musicians in clubs and restaurants for a long time with typical dark ambiance so I wish I had the proper flash rig for that. Now I do. Being a Brit Rob, I hope you've heard of The Yardbirds. I have a cool pic of me with founder Jim McCarty but we look like twin walking dead because I had no flash - in a night club. Disappointing. Sorry for the dithering comments, but thanks for the hands on advice on this flash; just so you know that over 4 years later it is of value to someone. Charlie
