I can only find 150 and 150B Anyone know if they are like these?
These were in my country for 30 bucks, 75 percent OFF SALE ( I didn't know they sound so amazing )... grew up with them during high school and it was probably my life *bestbuy*.
I own both and the Yamahas are way better... Detailed but never harsh highs, a liiitle recessed mids and very tight clean bass that goes deep. On the other hand porta pros sounds muffled. I paid 80€ for the Yammies and 45€ for the porta pros...and yes the yammies are 2 times better.
What a crap review, these are fantastic sounding headphones
Emergency gaming? It could happen it could happen.😂
How do these compare to the Audio Technica m40x? I enjoy my m40x's but they're not fun sounding. I need more bass - punchy, plus good mids and detail.
Which ones in Your opinion would win HPH-200 or Beyerdynamic DT 240 Pro (which are the same price range)?
These things trash any $300 bose or beats crap.
the only yamaha 200 i would buy is a tw200
Yamaha do make quality stuff, I do think their audio stuff is underrated .
£70 white ones. These really surprised me. i bought them cos i liked the eph-100 for value. These sound amazing, wide and deep soundstage, punchy bass with great resolution. A very 'spread out' fun sound which pick up details in a not-so-obvious fashion, but impressively nonetheless. i prefer them to my HD25iis
just in general im looking to buy the philips on amazon for 95 and was wanting my first pair of open backs saw your review of these and thought i get them was just wondering for around 100 are the philips 9500 the way to go and thanks for reply
the yamahas or the philips shp9500
You can never have enough headphones.
was that 1.168 playing in @ around 2:30? I just listened to that song before I watch this review. lol
I paid £50 for a pair last year off ebay. I liked their sound but the plastic creaks alot as the cups swivel on the hinges. This coupled with a very loose fit on my head made them impractical for outdoor use as I'm quite an active guy.
I ended up gifting them to my delighted father and downgraded to the ksc75 which share drivers with the portapros and if you get the fit right with the bendable earhooks just disappear and you forget you're wearing them. The only drawback to the ksc75 is the looks you get while walking down the street, Lt Uhura used to wear them I think.
I think hph 200 would be viable as gaming phones during a heatwave though.
I've had these for almost 3 years now. I have the white one (yes, I prefer it over the black one) and it still looks like-new; only micro scratches visible with a macro lens. I even sleep with them! The pads just needs to be washed monthly and lint-rolled every other day (basically, velour pad maintenance 101).
Let's be realistic, these aren't outside headphones. Just because they're small and on-ears doesn't mean they're automatically portable (I mean, Grado's doing it for years). Yes, they might hint it a bit... but the box nor the Yamaha site didn't say to take them out and about. The form factor may also benefit some head shapes and sizes. On-ears in general works better for me as I wear glasses, while I have to remove them for most over-ears (even with the nice thick HM5 pads).
But yeah, I might forgo them as my primary as I just picked up a DT880 600Ω for $99.
You should get the LG V10, apparently it has a built in DAC.
Have you listened to the Noontec Zoro? Those are my favorite portable headphones. I have the wireless model. They sound OK via bluetooth, but once you plug them in directly they really shine. I carry them with me everywhere I go. The wireless model is $70 (http://amzn.com/B00U399GZ8) and the non bluetoooth model is around $50 bones (http://amzn.com/B007OWRSLQ).
You should check out the Philips shl3300, they have a lot of good reviews and are really cheap.
How Much is this cost?
can you yell out "It's not a tumor"!!!!!!!!!!!!! ? Just for shits and giggles
Can anyone tell me which Brainwavz model who fit for Yamaha MT5 ? Only one who try it. Oval or XL is more suitable ?
Am I the only one who faced serious PROBLEMS with these headphones? I mean, I can't wear them for 15 minutes without feeling my ears locked in a vice, it's so uncomfortable. But the biggest problem is that I feel bass frequencies unnecessarily boosted! Maybe it's just a problem of mine, or something I did wrong, but in any case I need help🙃
Will my wife here my music when I am trying to sleep 😴
Is it a good for making music if you dont have studio monitors?
Do you recommend this headphones over the audiotechnica ath m40x ??
Is it needs an headphone amp or it's just working well on smartphone or laptop ?
Damir Thank you for your revise I enjoyed indeed. Can I ask you if I can use them both models to answer calls as well by any chance ?...Or maybe you advise any model your self ?...
Can these be played through portable devices like mobile phones? Btw nice review...
How are compared to bayerdynamic DT990 pro
can you hear yourself okay through them and are they good for gaming
How do they stack up against the Sony MDR-7506
Great review, Damir. I've also seen your Senheiser HD 579 review. Which would you prefer : Yamaha MT5 or the HD 579 and why?
Bought the MT5 on your confidence and I thoroughly enjoy the signatur...stunning HPs for the price. Thanks for the fantastic review 👍
vs 280 pros?
Can I use this for travelling with smart phone.
I with you, though I just swapped the supplied cable with the supplied higher-quality MT8 cable, the MT5's are now even better!! A tad faster, and the highs more open, a subtle but real improvement. The MT5 might be the best closed-back headphone out there - with the MT8 cable!!
Can i use it with just laptop or smartphone without amplifier?
Greetings, I bought them considering your point of view, and explanations in this video.
Unfortunately I'm not following what you've said haha. I have to say I have never tried the HD650, so I won't try to make any comparison.
For me they have too much high mids/low bass, too much bass drums heard in all the tracks I've had a listen to. It's sounds fairly compressed generally, like if the speaker couldn't express completely. And hell, this high ends sound quite saturated. Lacks of low mids.
I mean, i'm completely disappointed by them, and (I have to try a face to face comparison though), in my fairly far memories, the Shure SRH440 is more balanced, sound better in general, are more well isolated, they don't sound compressed.
Sorry for that bad feedback, well, not against the video as you might have understood, it's more against the headphones haha.
would you still recommend it over Audio Technica ATH M30X or M40X? for music production .. mixing mastering
you both make a cute couple.....nice phones gonna chem em out...
The editing, the camera work, and the whole quality in itself is absolutely stunning, take my like and sub!
you assume only men look at headphone reviews.
Man, those sped up hand gestures are really distracting and the "zeeeeeop whoosh" sound is annoying. Great review, but really, those things aren't needed imho.

"Under £100!" -- Amazon Price £93 lol
Personally, I found the 7506 more comfortable than the CB1.
Hi, I am looking to get my mother a pair of headphones to go with her quite high end Yamaha clavinova digital piano, do you stand by these choices? £60 mark would be great, cheers
Which song is it in the very beginnig?? Please do share if anyone knows....😂
I have a big head so
How df do your videos look so amazing? What camera do you use?!
The Sony mdr absolutely are not flat sounding headphones
You're trolling, right? 7506 are literally the worst headphones you could wear for audio mixing. You are NOT getting a "flat" sound as you claimed. The furthest thing from it.
Is his intro Loss?
Hey man, which one of these would you say could handle bass from a moog synth the best?
💜I can see me jamming out with the closed back headphones oh yeah💜
