I was thinking of getting the spruce top version. But after hearing this demo, I changed my mind. The cedar top has a "fuller" and more balanced tone, while the spruce one just sounds kinda amateurish. I know spruce starts to sound better as it matures after a year or two of playing. But do you want to buy a guitar and start playing beautifully right out of the box, or would you rather wait? It's your choice

I like the 182C, the sound is better in my point of view. The sound in the 182S is more brilliant but I prefer the cedar top.

Spruce but I always prefer brightness. Darker guitars just sound muddy to me. Same with pianos.
That is quite a sound difference. This is the best comparison I've ever heard between cedar and spruce. I prefer the cedar. On a side note, what mic are you using? It sounds fantastic!

I just bought the 182s but listening to this video sounds like C sounds better thought I was reading that Sprouce guitars sound better over time and cedar kind of start sounding great but then it slowsly starts to loose its greatness, I just hope I didn’t make a mistake..

S is more treble and brighter than C. I feel C quite deep and emphasize on bass (?) Idk im not an expert but what do u think?
