I stick with the 12s and wraps personally. Ik some people will just throw the gloves on by themselves but I havent tried that

I do boxing but i wear mma hybrid gloves when not at the gym, its just feels better because i can feel my knuckles and make better fists
How about 8 oz boxing gloves?
I switch between 16 & 12oz gloves im slower but bring more power with 16oz, an for speed drills an technique ill use 12oz.

A good combo for that bag and for breaking patterns isLow jab,straight jab, left hook to the top and left upper cut all same hand. Then switch off to right handRight overhand,cross ,top hook to the head and right rear upper.

Totally get it. I'm 39 now, but I've had many traditional heavy bags over the years. When I was young, I'd beat them shits without wraps or gloves and never had a problem because my form was good. I'm about 40 lbs heavier now and probably hit a bit harder, but also I think my bones and joints are just not able to take what they could when I was 20. No way I'd go full on at my heavy bag without gloves now. My wrists just couldn't take it. Solid work, brother. Good hands and I love your setting. Thought about getting one of those water bags but I can't afford a bad purchase so I reckon I'll try one later, but don't wanna depend on it for my main bag. Take care, hermano. Thanks for posting.

I will rarely if ever use 16 oz again for my bag work. I used them for s long time nd im an amateur it totally screwed up my timing nd technique with the 12s. When i got the 12 after being used to loading up my shots with the 16oz i felt like i dont know how to box or punch! My balance nd biomechanics were all off. Now im starting again from zero to get used to the 12. Use 12 for bag nd 16 for sparring. Period.
