I thought the main point of the wraps was for proper spacing for your fingers so you’re not breaking them over each other not knuckle protection? Correct me if I am wrong

They do give good protection but the quick wraps are pretty big and thick and probably makes it hotter

Herringbone fabric handwraps has been working for me soooo good lately. Is not for fragile skin, though. I've been trying a lot of brands, I'd say Twins are my fav. For some light work, handwraps and knuckle pads. Gel gloves wont last too much in my experience. Great explanation and review as always, Carlo!

Getting that fortress. Mexican wraps are a pain in the you know what. It’s rolled the wrong way, Velcro on the wrong side...start over. Velcro catches the fabric and basically rips it. It’s such a pain. Can’t wait for my onx gloves to arrive. No more wraps
Awesome videos! Really been helping me get into boxing training late in life! I'd love your opinion on if there is a wrap or even a way to wrap my wrist for extra support? I have a wrist injury that will need surgery, but until then, a good wrap has taken away any pain I've had while hitting a 70lb bag full power. But for me I really really need guidance on how to protect my wrist more than my knuckles at the moment. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks for the great content !

Have you ever used boxraw wraps? I recently got a pair. Very light, soft and thin. The velcro part is reinforced with rubber material and they stretch just enough because a lot of those traditional ones are way too stretchy to my liking. They sometimes cut circulation so you gotta adjust. Boxraws are $13 plus shipping so maybe its worth it to get something else besides the wraps. Their Hugler rubber suit looks cool.

Not a fan of inside gloves. Don't know if you guys are like me, but wrapping hands is part of the charm. During this time, I free my mind, put myself in the mood and focus about what I need to do. I don't want to go without. May I suggest to Carlo some future reviews on mouthguards ? I think the gap price between molded and customs has drastically decreased. That's why I think Gladiator is good value, but would appreciate our host opinion.

The fortress version is superior in almost every way and price but i do like the wrist and thump on them, i hope they make an updated version soon.

Got woven Hyabusa jelly quickwraps for $24.99can.. threads get pulled and fluffed by the glove-velcro but they sit nice and easily washed. I'll need to checkout these fortress' y'all are chattin' about..
Easier to learn how to make padding with medical gauze (ambra le roy) and medical tape, and just reuse it under your regular wraps. You get a good few sessions before its completely compressed/dead.

Take 100.00 off the 160.00. Even 60.00 is a lot for the quality and fit/finish of this standard of wrap Imho. Fortress is the hold standard atm imo and hopefully more company's will create more fast wrap options/models for reasonable price points that actually make logical sense as I do see there being a decent hungry market as long as the quality/build and price is attainable. Now is a perfect time.

Thank you for the review! I have quite old King gloves, and they are still in good shape withouth any damage. As you all know Thai built gloves last for very long time, but obviously padding became way softer and now they feel more like “puncher’s” glove when you feel the impact through the padding when you hit, especially in sparring. Do you think this wraps would help by adding extra padding so I can use them in sparring again till I buy some new ones? Thank you for advice:)
