Whirlpool Customer support does not exist. When the product doesnt work. No technicians to help. They dont show up for appointments. Leaving me with a $800 paperweight that should be a refridgerator. Hours on hold trying to get a hold of customer service who cant help you at all! so disappointing. will never buy again!
Also the Led lights are connected to one circuit and if one goes bad the rest will illuminate but not all the way until you replace the bad one . I found this out after one year and year two .

It's a piece of junk. Numerous service calls for frozen up fresh food section evaporators. The concept is sound and makes sense, but the implementation was released before being ready for prime time.
I will not buy Whirlpool brand ever again. I have an oven of this brand which was bought new 2,5 years ago which means now it is half a year after the warranty. For several days the dispaly on it said to call the Whirlpool service guy and so I did. It turned out the module was broken and the price with the exchange is 125 Euro. 125 Euro! I mean, for that kind of amount you can exchange the timing belt in a car! And the oven in my house is used really rarely. This cost is over 50% of the oven. And I would not be pissed off if it happened in an old device, but half a year after the warranty? Coincidence? On the same day I went to my mum and told her about it. She said that she had had the same situation but luckily hers was still on warranty when the module broke. So I went to the kitchen just to have a look at the brand – and guess what – Whirlpool It seems that with this producer you just have to add the cost of the expensive spare parts while buying it at the shop because the equipment is just calculated to break just after the warranty period end and bring the producer additional profit. I am writing this for all of you choosing the household appliances to your houses. I do not know about you but I am not choosing this brand ever again. I will post this anywhere possible and hope that the Whirlpool company will suffer a proportionally big cost in sales drop as I did paying for the repair.
Had for 2 years. Broke just after the warranty ( Thermostat issue) .Exactly one year later same issue. Whirlpool put out a Service advisory. Between the issues, waiting for techs,& waiting for parts (8 weeks last year & 4 so far this year with 2 1/2 week wait for parts & next appointment. ) I’m not pleased
You are a very bad company. They sell defective Fridges. Now they replaced the first defective fridge to bring another defective Fridge.Shame on you .What a company. If you don't do them right why you sell them?
As a 25 year old millennial techie, I'd rather have this, a very good, solid, and polished fridge, rather than one of those new ones with more gadgets than my smartphone. The less there is to break, the better, and the less they spend in gadgets, the more they spend in quality materials to boot

Just so everyone knows, these are junk shit! I speak from horrible ongoing experience.4 weeks living out of a cooler! I'll be posting my video shortly so other people looking for the truth don't get screwed.
Things not mentioned in the video: 1. Notice how far this fridge sticks out from the surrounding counters/cabinets. It is 32" deep, not counting the doors which are another 4" deep. The installers had to remove the doors and remove our front door to get it into the house. The fridge is about 23 . and the freezer, about 9 . 2. It has dual evaporators - one for the fridge and one for the freezer. This keeps the air in the two areas from mixing. 3. The temperature of the short, wide drawer at the bottom can be set to one of 3 temps. The storage area below this drawer with the sliding doors is not going to be very cool. No cold air moves through it and the bottom shelves of the doors will cover it when they are closed. They are okay for things like medicines which only need to be kept somewhat cool. 4. The pizza pocket in the freezer is actually in the door and holds 4 frozen pizzas turned on their sides. UPDATE: The "pizza pockets" are problematic in that no air can circulate them so pizzas, or anything else put into those pockets, frequently thaw slightly and refreeze creating frost on them and allowing 'toppings" to slide down the pizza. I recommend putting flat ice packs, such as you might use on a back ache, in those pockets. 5. This model has two ice makers, one in the fridge door and the other in the freezer. If you value freezer space more than a second ice maker, you can turn off the 2nd one. A black version of this model has only the fridge door ice maker. This is what we got. If we need more ice for a special occasion, we can make ice ahead of time and put it in a bag in the freezer. 6. The top shelf in the black model does not slide back, just the second shelf. 7. The dispenser has one paddle for ice and a second one for water. Set a glass on the pull-out shelf and press both paddles at once (or use the auto-fill) to get ice and water at the same time. 8. The platter pocket in the fridge slides out for easier access. 9. The freezer also has a sliding shelf on top for flat items, such as cookie pans. 10. The door pockets on the right door are all gallon jug depth. UPDATE: Again, the cold air does not circulate well around the door pockets. We keep jugs of milk on the top shelf near where the cold air comes out. UPDATE: Despite any negatives, it is difficult, in not impossible, to get a refrigerator/freezer anywhere near this capacity in this price range. After 2 years, I am still happy with it overall. We bought this from Lowes and bought the extended warranty which we had to use once.
