I know this video is old, but I'm wondering what your ambient temperature was when you ran those tests? I've got 3 NVMe drives in my system and the hottest my sn750 got was 44C during a long transfer. Idle in that drive is 34C. My sn550 runs a few degrees cooler (30C idle 41C load).
What gen is this ? my board says it supports gen 4. I cant seem to see where any of these drives show what gen they are.

wd black 750 failed.2 weeks it is necessary to be engaged in it .1 day and failure. The entire system is hanging .Have time to configure it before it crashes.Resuscitate is difficult.
Question: Can this make the frame rate faster? Like if the frames are dropping can this help?
Boot time is strange, but there are many factors that can be the cause of this.... I'm on 840 EVO SSD, and my Win10 boot time is 7.4 seconds from the moment I power on (i7-6700k, Asus Hero VIII, 16Gb 2400MHz). BTW, for the tests, stick with same-size SSDs as the performance may vary greatly between 500Gb and 1Tb. Otherwise a great review!

Crucial P1 - slower than a HDD when transferring big files!! Crystal Diskmark wouldn't of told you that.

I got a 500gb and a 2tb of this drive in my new 10700k rig and theyve been doing awesome I even have a 3900xt rig with the sn850 and I really see no difference

This is on sale today for $115 across a lot of sites for the 1TB variant. The XPG SX8200 is also on sale for 1TB at $99. I noticed in the Benchmarks you have the 500GB SX8200 vs the 1TB WD Black. I have seen inconsistent thoughts on this, will a 1TB Variant outperform 500GB variant due to more headroom naturally or is that not correct? I currently have a 500 SX8200 and am deciding should I buy a few more of those or a few of these WD Blacks.

In 2020 Ive gone with Western Digital Black mainly because of price and sales Ive seen. Bought a 500GB for $65 and just recently a 1TB for $115.500GB is my OS boot and my 1TB my game library folder (which was on a 5400rpm HDD)

I just bought WD Black SN750 - 1 TB for $110 during sale.
the evo plus runs hot... I have 2 of them and also the hynix p31 gold... I wouldnt recommend the evo plus in a laptop under any circumstances..too small a space, no heatsink and too hot and uses too much power... in a desktop with air circulation,a decent heatsink can manage temps..I also found they couldnt reach the claimed speeds 3280/3050 for me on eithe evo plus 500gb... the hynix was sweet, ran much cooler, almost same speeds but just about double the read iops..sadly the hynix is not compatible with mac so i wont be keeping mine.
