You mention bolt cutters are not appropriate for cutting padlocks. As such, can you recommend a high quality padlock cutter?
I have used bolt cutters to cut 4/0 aluminum wire.
I had a set of 14 inch Klein cable cutters and my friend used them to cut nails and it ruined the blades and I was very upset about it because I spent a lot of money on them

Hmmm... Alas, I bought a set of these the other day. Tried my first (and only) cut of a 35sqmm copper, multi-stranded cable, and ended up with the non-serated blade getting burred! This also resulted in the cutter now not being able to be fully closed, because the burrs were interfering with the other (serrated) blade. Very unimpressed. Perhaps a bad batch? Either way, I just returned them and went bought another brand (Toledo). This was my first experience with NWS tools - not a good one.

I work in HVAC. I usually use diagonal cutters or linesman pliers when cutting wire which is typically 6-2 and 10-2. Do you think these particular could cut that gauge wire with ease? the 6-2 is a bit tough with my current tools
