What's the basic difference between Vanguard 264CB vs Vanguard 235CB

Can you tell me if the center column has a pull down clip like most others where you can hang your backpack to weight the tripod down?
Nice & simple tripod, I like it, the ball head seems well designed as well. Vangaurd makes some really good tripods, I have one & it works beautifully.

With the legs stretched outwards i.e., with the lowest leg height, is it possible to fix the center pole /w camera ? Does the center pole only work vertically or possible to use like in @8:10 and even lowered ?

this is a crappy tripod. it's hard to rotate the knob on the quick release. not stable

it looks like when your rotating the head around that the center shaft (3:20 - 3:40 mark) is wiggling or moving a bit as well. Is this a Stable tripod.?

Hi Dave! I'm currently looking for a travel tripod but I'm using a 5D Mark III and I'm wondering if this one is strong enough to hold it even in portrait position? They say it can hold a 6kg camera but it seems to be (to me) a selling argument. I can see you have a similar camera in the back, maybe you can help me with this! :-)

I bought the 265 cb carbon tripod, and after three months of use rust could be found in the locking screws and threads of the legs. After sending it to the official service in San Cugat del Valles, they told me it must have be wet with salt water, so they just cleaned it and sent it back with some rust on it still. Not even the cheapest tripod on the market is made with materials that will rust. But to put steel of such poor quality on a carbon tripod is a travesty. I can't even go near the sea to take photos, as even cleaning it with still water is of no help. My advice to the management of Vangaurd is to institute a recall on these Carbon units with non-stainless steel, to be replaced with 316 stainless Steel. This solution would only cost one more Euro per tripod to fix this problem in its entirety. Barring that, if this issue is not resolved, refunds should be issued to all who purchased this defective product. Thank you for your time.
Yo he comprado el 265 cb de carbono. Después de tres meses de uso aparece óxido en los tornillos de cierre y en las roscas de las patas, enviado al servicio técnico oficial en San Cugat del Valles me dicen que se habrá mojado con agua salada, me lo limpian y me lo devuelven aún oxidado. Ni el trípode mas barato del mercado está fabricado con materiales oxidables, pero poner acero de tan mala calidad en un trípode de carbono clama al cielo. Ni acercarse al mar con este trípode ni limpiándolo cada vez con agua dulce.

This is what cracks me up about social media influencers.......you are just never happy! You complain because the first one was too tall and stuck out. Now you complain because this one isn't tall enough. Seems you need to make up your mind. From what I see this is a terrific tripod for anyone looking for compactness and less weight.
This is why i absolutely dislike travel tripods with pencil thin legs and small ballheads. Short tripods don't bother me much as i can use live view.....it must be able to reach ground level as that is more important for landscape photographers. My primary tripods are Gitzo GT5543XLS and RRS TVC 44 with a BH55 ballhead....both are extremely heavy and long, but super stable. I shoot long exposures in harsh conditions so stability is far more important than weight.
In the tine since you posted this vid what is a tripod you'd recommend that IS more stable, also carbon fiber and in four sections? Thanks

Beginner level photographer looking to purchase my first tripod. I think I've narrowed my search down to the Vanguard brand but unsure of whether or not the Veo 2 or Alta Pro series would be better to work with. Mostly city landscape with limited travel so far, but the compact nature of the Veo 2 just seems so appealing, hoping to get your input since you appear to utilize both. Thanks!

I found that it’s a real quality tripod. Except for the head. The head is crap.
Review: you talk too much?, get into details and show the head and explain it by showing it instead of having your face on there all the time.

Wow... first person I heard say the screw lock downs are quicker then the clamp lock downs on the legs.

I have a Vanguard tripod which I had a problem with and it took me almost 4 months of emails and phone calls to get it sorted. The photo stores told me to give up because the suppliers are not interested in selling you parts if something goes wrong. I like their products, but I will never purchase another Vanguard product after the experience I had in trying to order 1 replacement leg lever.
