What do you do if it’s leaking water?
Mine does not seem to be getting any water to the filter, no moisture in the air coming out. Not sure if I have a bad pump or ?? anyone else have this issue? Filter in back is dry

For all the doubters out there....i live in miami , humid temp is always in 80s-90s , temperature is 90s in summer.....i use it for a gaming room. To make it work great in a small space . 1 , you need to put ice packs at the base of the water compartment or add chunks of ice . By its self it drops it from 89° to 77° . when adding ice & some cold cool water with ice packs it drops it to 65°-62°......it will last a solid 5-7hrs before it goes back to avg 75° which is still good in miami.....important! When it says it covers 250+ ft of space , its stating all corners of a room ( floor , ceiling ) & everything in between...just for those interested....it will cover as a whole a room 10x10x10x10 / 2 , very comfortably.....
Swamp coolers may work great in low humid areas. Don't bother using one if average air humidity is over 50% during summer
This is $150 about, price of a cheap AC. Useless invention tbh

I live on the coast of California and mine doesn't do much good...it humidifies but the temp of the air coming out is only slightly cooler...not ten degrees... even with ice cubes and cold water. This is a newer model maybe that's why his gets 10 degree cooler air flow.

Hypothetically - what if you loaded a significant amount of ice in the tub below - wouldn't that cool the water better than the odd trickle of melting ice above?
I have two. They are CL25AE models. I think they are great for my needs this summer in CO. This just came up. Water in one was turning to a yellowish color and can smell it today. So...I need to check manual if I can drain the water. I do not think there is an option to hand clean the reservoir. My other unit is fine.

I can't here. It's a swamp in the summer. Still trying to drain it! lol I'd still stick with AC. I bought a portable second AC unit after my main went out one summer and needed something to get by while that got fixed. . The new split window units look cool and better than the older 1 block window units and much more quieter perhaps with the split design. As long as your insulate your exhaust hose on portable units - you're doing good. I haven't gone to full insulation - but wrapped tighly in 5 layers of aluminum foil and some dryer vent duct, keeps all the heat out the exhaust and never heat soaks.
