Peanuts are the best nut. All other butters are only good because they mix in peanuts in them. They can't carry the flavors themselves.
I tried almond butter, peanut butter, an pecan butter. Going to try hazelnut butter, sunflower seed butter, pistachio butter, walnut butter, soybean butter, Brazil nut butter, and macadamia nut butter!! I know I have a nut obsession, can't stop eat mixed nuts either. Lol

sunflower butter in chocolate cups are soooo good though, try sun cups. I think the brand depends, it should be roasted to get rid of bitterness.

It's good to see someone making nut butters at home, as i'm looking into it myself, but they are far too runny for my liking so that's off-putting :/ I don't really want to add flour to thicken them up, but if that's what it takes... Also, the nut companies do taste-test their products, you just don't agree with their results as taste is subjective.
Well, I once bought whole bag of very cheap already roasted peanuts for making my own peanut butter and it came out disguisting :/ soo I think that some brands use very cheap, leftover, old nuts to save money

I saw a shop advertised in LA where they have no packaging, though you can buy glass containers if you don't have your own. If all shops did that we wouldn't have to deal with so much plastic, still in 2020. This shop have dispensers where you can fill up your glass jar with your fav nut butter. I also remember, when I was a child in Italy in the 70's, our bottled drinks were all in glass bottles which, once used, you were supposed to bring back to get some money back. Then, I believe in the 80's, all glass containers got replaced by plastic ones. Nowadays, the answer is grow your own plant based food, if you need to buy something, avoid big supermarkets and shopping malls and support local farmer markets or handmade crafts. Where there is a will there is a way!
