Bought these for warehouse maintenance work, needed something with more traction and more of a better feel when climbing. They have great initial traction but will have to wait to see how they do when the outsole starts to wear out more. There very comfortable. The shoe feels like a durable running shoe, flexible but has good stability. The upper of the shoe might not be durable but it is comfortable and better ventilated the an all leather shoe. Overall I don’t consider it a boot but for what I need and the environment I work in it’ll be alright. They run big though.

I drive a bus all day in Canada. Want a boot thats comfy and can handle a bit of snow without getting too hot. Think i'll try the waterproof version of these

You should try some HAIX black eagles. HAIX makes the best boots on earth imho, I wear them daily on duty.
Are they wide at all?
These type of boots need to be in Composite toe version, service members are dealing with the same old bates that are comparable to bricks.

What about the mid size boots with the zipper?
Spray CampsDry on the exterior to make them more water resistant. It contains silicone so it may make them darker.

US Army can’t have a side zipper, they wanted them to be AR 670-1 compliant since the army is the largest branch in the US it would have cut out a significant amount of customers

As a veteran comfort in a boot is extremely important but water-resistant v waterproof can be a deal-breaker for me and others who read the review at the end it depends on the environment you operate. I am sure there are solutions to keep the leather shedding water if you are exposed to constant rain. You mentioned that the boot can be worn at hot temperatures because this boot appears to be a hot weather boot. For example in Iraq in the summertime temperature can reach in some areas up to 124 degrees, thereby breathability is important, do you know, if Under Armour tests these boots at different temperatures? Unfortunately, it's hard to find them in US 14.
I don’t understand why they don’t offer wide for every boot ever made.
I had a pair of the previous model Valsetz but found the soles went very lumpy after a week of 13+ hr wearing… Apparently they are very soft for comfort purposes however in an Emergency Service application they aren’t suitable. Unfortunately I took them back and purchased some Lowa Innox Pro’s which I’m still waiting to arrive.
