Another excellent in depth review, well done :) I have tried several different types of batteries from Hobby King over the years and these blue Turnigy and the Zippy Flightmax have proven to be the best for long term consistent performance for a very reasonable price. They often go on sale on Black Friday and other big promotions. With respect to the weight discrepancy, unfortunately over the years I have found that Hobby King often lists the "shipping" weight, not the actual weight, so the extra grams might have been packaging, not sure, but I have found this discrepancy often. It makes it a bit of a crap shoot when ordering if weight is of real importance. Looking forward to more review and test info :) Cheers, Scott

What power supply are you using for the Accucell? I have one and i'm unsure of which to buy. I'm currently using 18V 1.5A which produces a slow charge.

Use the buddy code below for 7/11 to 7/25/15 replace the dot with a period. Turnigy 4000mAH 20s 3s lipo pack for only $19.83, save ~$5  for a 3000mAh version use I also have a wing camera code KK2.1.5 flight control board discharge a Lipo at that rate to that volts/cell, you are going to kill it in a few cycles. Especially Chinese lipos. But really, no Lipo will take that kind of punishment for long. You were reading at least 130F on the outside of the battery at the end of that run, which means that internally it was probably well beyond 140F. I guarantee that if you do that a couple more times that the battery will puff up like a dead fish. Heat is what kills lipos, and in the last 10 to 20% of the capacity of a lipo, the internal resistance goes up substantially. If you are pulling high amps at that time, you are going to be generating a LOT of heat. If your LiPo is hot after a flight - you ARE killing it. Best rule of thumb I have discovered over many years of flying with Lipos is to never discharge a battery under flight loads by more than 75% of it's stated capacity. Over time, you will have to adjust that downwards, because as they age, their internal resistance goes up and their useful capacity steadily goes down. Lipos are at their best on their first cycle, and it's all downhill from there.
What voltage did you end the test at? I'm using these packs and I've not yet been able to get full capacity out of one yet, tho I never take them below 3.1v (per cell). I'm usually getting about 1150-1220mAh from the 3s 1.3Ah ones. Also from the 3s 1.0's I have (Turnigy 25-30C's) I'm only geting at max 960mAh (usually more like 900-920). I notice this is several years old, do you think the quality of the turnigy cells has diminished some compared to back then? And before you try to blame me / my methods- I'm using new packs that have been properly broken in. I'm an electrical engineer by trade and have a VERY good understanding of Li batteries of all types. I'd never seen this video before and it's strange that this very pack 5 years ago was performing at well over 100% capacity but now days they dont even make it to 100% rated cap :( I've tested all my cells (over 2 dozen) and that's how they all are.

Why pronounce it "Lie-Poh", when it's short for "Lithium-Polymer" LiPo. You don't say "Lietiuhm" Also, wouldn't a lipo-bag be a bad thing while charging? - How can you monitor your battery while charging when you can't see it? I've had a 1S battery swell up to a ball while charging, but I would never have seen that in a bag. I just ripped it out of the charger and put it outside, no smoke, nothing happened.  Also, when you store multiple batteries in the same bag, wouldn't one catching fire ignite all the other ones?. When I charge (Accucel 6 and IMAX B6) I always check if the battery is swelled up before charging, and continuously checking it while charging, and checking if charger or battery gets hot. I always charge at 1C.

Why does this have so many dislikes! Why is everyone butthurt about this sale, it;s great! At least their having a sale! And shipping costs are actually fairly reasonable, Not all shipping companies will handle Lithium batteries. and ive never hand any bad issues with parcelforce and i think hobbyking are right to go with them for their large orders or risky products e.g. Lipos. And ppl who are butthurt cos its all on backorder. well the reason its on backorder is cos about 10.000 other ppl also logged on at 5am and tired to buy the same product ad you, your were just un luckly, deal with it XD Get a grip ppl, ENJOY THE SALE FFS!
