Bruh is the patch thing supposed to be sticky cuz mine isn't sticky at all so after I put the cement stuff on it I forgot to wait for it to dry and put it on but then I realized the patch wasn't sticky so I just slapped it on there like it was me and my mom at 3AM and now I'm waiting for it to dry but idk if it's working but I'ma inflate it again and see what happens keep me in your prayers y'all 🙏

I had a blow out when I put a new inner tube in my front wheel. I didn't notice the tyre was not seated properly when I put it back on the wheel rim. I continued to inflate the tyre and then......BANG!!!!!!!!!!! Very very very loudly bang because the inner tube had burst.....blown out because it was trapped between tyre and rim and was outside the tyre. I learnt a lesson......always check tyre is seat properly when inflating the tyre.

Why do you let the glue dry for five minutes before putting the patch on?
Why should you deflate the tube before applying the patch? The rubber needs to stretch when its inflated.
don't bother peeling the plastic off, totally unnecessary, and it helps stop any glue leaks from getting on the tyre

I bought a kit which has patches that did not need gluing. I even asked the guy at the bike shop about this and he assured me that glue was not needed . I put 6 of them on and did not work. I should have done what you did ?

Pump up the tube right before you apply the patch. This causes some prestretch on the tube. Tube will remain more round because of this. Patches do not stretch as easily as an inner tube part sans patch. A patch therefore can cause your ride to become a bit bumpy. Press on the patch by squeezing the tube with patch between your thump and index+middle finger to secure it firmly. Hold it that way for a minute or so. Find that bloody thorn before you put the tube back in ! Don bother removing that plastic.

Forget to say that you should check the whole tube for maybe a second puncture. Thanks either way.
A good tip on quickly looking for the cause of the puncture: Before removing the tire, use your marker to mark the spot where the valve was located. After you repair the puncture, put the inner tube on top of the tire, aligning the valve with the mark. You can then inspect the part that’s aligned with the patch. That being said, it’s also a good idea to regularly inspect the entire tire in order to preemptively remove any possible causes of future punctures. But this tip will be useful if you’ve just made an emergency roadside/trailside repair and are eager to move on already. You can do the more thorough inspection once you’re safely back home.

Had my bicycle puncture on a rather desolate hillside once. Had to get a ride back home with a weirdly charming man. Would've been good to know this then.
Prevention is better than cure ! so get in habit of checking tyre pressure before riding (@ 80 psi on road ) to prevent snake bite punctures and also check outsides of tyres for thorns etc stuck in outside before they push on through the puncture protection layer of tyre 👍

Great demonstration! Additional regulary check that vulcanizing liquid used for the stickers. I didn't get a tire flat for several years. Finally when it happened I had sufficient stickers to fix it but the liquid tube was dry out completely making me walking at home. Lesson learned on the hard way!
