i have the old USB2.0 500gb trancsend and the newer 4tb Transcend external, both still fine. My old 500gb transcend have ate at least 5 data cable tough.

I just recently opened up my 1tb 25H3 drive as the warranty ran out, and it has a Seagate drive in it. I've had it for 4 years now and never had a problem with it. The Seagate drive has been quiet and fast, and Transcend did a great job of putting together a solid case for it!

Hi, i work in IT and i have to say your drop test is useless until you scan the disk surface with a tool like "HDTune" afterwards. - This is because only seeing the data in file explorer after the drop tests does not say the data is still OK. There might be data errors / corrupt files.

Question! I record a lot of videos with a Sony Action Cam, from personal vlogs, short documentaries, hobbies, music covers, and all the random stuff. And I was wondering if this is a good investment because my phone (Galaxy Note 3) With an overall capacity of 96Gb still couldn't handle it. All my footagrs are stuck into memory cards until I get a chance to edit. Plus, having a slow, sh*tty laptop does not help at all. I have no PC, but my phone does take a Usb 3.0 plug, and I was wondering if this'll work out for that kind of purpose Wide video storage, that's all I need.
