    WiFi 6 Mesh (2020) | TP-LINK DECO X60 AX3000 WiFi 6 Mesh REVIEW
TP-Link Deco X60 (AX3000) Unboxing, Setup and Test - WiFi 6 Mesh Network
New version of this router just dropped with triband: when there is internet acess. You literaly cant do shit in the app or on the web interface when it goes out. You have to just wait or reset the WHOLE DAMM THING if the decos config got fucked. Have a deco m4 but only happened to me once.
I didn't know how to make seperate ssids on my deco x20 once I got it today, but I did a workaround from the deco app in which in wifi settings I set my main network to only 5ghz. Then I enabled guest network and set it to only 2.4ghz. Now when I connect to a wifi network on a device it gives me the option to choose from 2.4ghz or 5ghz from my deco router with their own seperate names.
Got the deco x60 because of this review, works perfectly! Updating firmware was the first thing I did once I connected the first router to the internet. Not one issue so far. Now my sister and parents have them in their homes and they're extremely pleased (had to help them a little to set it up and stuff, but it didn't take long for them to get the hang of the app). Also notices that it is possible to access the routers directly using a browser on a computer. Only thing is that the interface is very limited, the app is still the best way to go. Still it's good to have options! Thanks for the review!
Tp- link deco mesh are the best routers Ive ever owned. I have 2x90s (wifi 6 and triband) and 3 older m9s all working together. I get 450 mbps to the curb, and my wifi is 400-450 (M9s are about 300-400) all over the home, even the toilets, 60-100 devices. Antivirus doesnt slow anything down. I'll be with tplink for a while.
If I just wanted one since I have a ax tp link router (not mesh) can this be used as an AP only to extend the router coverage I already have?
Honestly, I have been using a set of 3 decos in my house - 1 per floor and I have never had a single day without the satellite decos loosing connectivity with the main deco. It's been very frustrating and I am questioning the quality of this product. And yes, the decos are on the latest firmware. I upgraded from a single wi-fi router that offered great range by itself but offered lower bandwidth. I am close to the point of dumping them in the garbage and going back to my old router. The only solution the manufacturer has is to reboot the decos - OK - I have been doing it every single day.
Does anybody know if we can select a specific deck device as a source signal for another deco device ? I mean that in my house we have 4 different deco mesh E4 devices but the one receive weak signal from the first main but not from the one which is situated more close. I wish I am clear

This is very good under ethernet backhaul configuration. I ran iperf3 between my PC and my S21 phone. the maximum speed I got is over 700mbp/s.
Watching this video as a long term owner of a couple of Deco M9. I agree entirely on your comments about the UI, features are burried and ambiguous. I am here looking for a network replacement as I’m fed up with the reliability of the service they’ve provided. I’ve spent countless hours on the phone with manufacturers of various smart things due to sporadic outages, or outright failures to connect. Where Tp-Link flops entirely is their customer service, their primary focus is to blame the manufacturers of the disconnecting devices, and provide little assistance in troubleshooting such issues via port forwarding. Looking more and more like Eero will be my next replacement.
Thanks for the excellent review. I understand that normally one would connect a Deco X60 to a modem since it is a router. I am just curious: can you connect one Deco X60 directly to an existing router, like EdgeRouter X, and the second Deco X60 to that first one?
I have a modem and Deco x60 mesh wifi system. I do not need wireless connectivity 24x7. All devices needing 24x7 access are connected through LAN cable. Can the mesh system be turned off when not required (say at night) and turned back on when needed?
    Really helpful! Thanks
You lost me at model 3 .I like gas
Great Video darlin but had to slow your roll down to about 0.75 while I learned the appalso, may have been important to note that the home care is called Home Sheild and its only for subscribers. 7 day free trial but still. Not sure if I would fully utilize this feature without children in the HH.
6:40 this problem happens because tp-link doesn't know how to handle 2.4 and 5ghz at the same time in any router
Typically 40 to 50 devices connected at one time
Does the pwr supply support 220v thx
are m9 plus v2 better than the x60?
Happy Friday! I hope you enjoyed my review of the Deco X60! What do you think of this mesh system?  If you have any questions let me know in the comments section!
Hi, how is the mesh networking performance? As in if you are in a video call and your are moving from upstairs to downstairs, essentially switching between the routers, does your video call drops or notice and kind of lag? Mesh networks are supposed to have seamless Wi-Fi network just like a mobile phone network does. Would appreciate if you could let me know. Cheers.
Question about connecting this system via wired backhaul. Main unit would be wired straight into modem. Then I would have a switch on another port on the modem. Out of that switch would be Ethernet going to 2 different floors in my house. In those rooms, would I connect straight to the other points or would it be OK to go to another switch and then out of that switch to the other points? Make sense? Other an that I would go straight into the point and then use the other port in the points to go to the switch. Is one way better than the other?
I purchased a Netgear Nighthawk AC4000 last June but it requires a reboot now every 3-4 days because the Wi-Fi magically goes out. Have you noticed anything similar with the X60? I'm looking to purchase the X68's.
i am having main connection of 300 mbps and i am getting 290 mbps when i switch on 5 ghz band and when i switch it off i am getting only 120 mbps on 2.4 ghz band and tp link mentions 500 mbps on 2.4 ghz wht so?
Can you tell how is stable is roaming in home while connected to wifi
Thanks for the video, I'm sold.
Hi sir, i have a new building with solid walls and my apartment is just a one floor is it good and speedy if i make it wireless? And thanks for the vid
hi! can i use the switch to connect the other deco units? main deco > switch > 2 other decos ?
Have you tried multimedia over coax? MoCa adapters
    I got the ASUS XT8
Hello bro Andi, I'm thinking to purchase this one. your reviews made my decision much easier! thanks a lot :)
    Falto los subtitulado en español
    Awesome video bro.
You must do a ipref test between wired and wireless nodes to judge their max throughput
    Amazing bro
Great to see how much effort you put into each video! nicely done Andi
    amazing video quality!
nice production quality on your video! while it was nicely structured you somewhat started to repeat your favourite features after a while. this can probably be overcome with maybe a bit more scripting or pre-planning of the things you want to talk about.
Great work, this was very informative and I purchased these based on your two videos. Thanks!
Really good video! if you have to choose between orbi ax1800 rbk 353 and this tp link deco 60 ax3000 which one would you go with?
I have a modem and Deco x60 mesh wifi system. I do not need wireless connectivity 24x7. All devices needing 24x7 access are connected through LAN cable. Can the mesh system be turned off when not required (say at night) and turned back on when needed?
For all my Canadians you must know what Rogers is and how bad there internet is I have been living with this problem for 7 years I’m a loyal customer since 10 years and the internet still sucks I have tried routers I have even made my speed from 500u to 1000u and it still sucks upstairs I think it’s because of range and I game a lot so that takes my internet too but is this a good choice because Rogers internet range sucks
Thanks for the review. I'm getting this isntead of M9 Plus
do you suggest that i buy this instead of deco m5?. we have 3 story house and I don't know too if our router is wifi-6 ready
I have 100 mb fiber speed. There are 4 concrete walls between my modem and Tv and other devices. 3 tv is using Netflix, Amazon prime, Youtube 4K contents at the same time. Besides one tv which is far away from the modem is connected to IPTV box (no wifi connection) through tp-link wpa 4530 poweline adaptor and and it is 4K too. There 4 pc and mobile phones conneting to wifi. When I get in internet through pc or mobile phone. It takes 10-15 sec to open a page. The page is frozen. I have to keep using the modem of my isp which is ZTE267a. Connetion with this modem , which router or mesh system do you suggest to handle this problem.? When I set mesh router, do you think that my IPTV box (sagem 4K) can work if it is connected to mesf router's ethernet.
So what exactly is your speed plan? Will this support my 1000 mbps plan? Since it's wifi 6, i think it can
Does your isp router play any part in wifi speed?
I know you say they are dual band but can you split the 2.4 and 5ghz SSID’s?
    is this good for gaming?
There is a deal at Costco, 3 units for $229.
“Here We still have 100% speed”, that’s a weird thing to say when your speed has dropped to 85
Great video! Does it have a dedicated back haul?
    engrish prease?
Great view, very informative and clear
    Can I connect 6 deco x60 for 14000sqft area? Or 7 deco x60s for 16000sqft?
Is it better than P9 ?
I think you made an error in your review. Your internet speed is measured in Mbps (Megabits Per Second), The windows test of the back haul was in MB/s (Megabytes Per Second), that means your 35 MB/s transfer speed is 350 Mbps, I think that is pretty good!
Finally a good review. So much garbage out there.
Thanks for the demo and info, have a great day
Hi everyone! Here is my full final review after 2 months with the Deco X60: it works only for youtube and google? I can't open other app or web site
this was very helpful! thanks Andi
    Thank you
I like ur video very nice
Something else that isn't really mentioned, after you have all the decos added, it's important to reboot all of them. It takes like 5 to 10 minutes depending how many you have. It's kinda like when a phone or laptop updates it needs to restart; same with deco. I installed the deco w6000 and at first it made a very small difference and I almost returned them, then I rebooted them and now they are working perfectly and I have high speed everywhere in my house.
Есть две коробки с X60 в каждой 2 устройства. Как их связать в одну сеть (из 4х устройств)? There are two boxes with X60 in each 2 devices. How to connect them into one network (of 4 devices)?
Hi, Actually in real life you can never hit the AX 3000 speed .By the way , my overall fiber subscription is only 1Gbps here . Thus won't it make sense to go for a deco x20 instead (also 3 if you want) but its only AX 1800. if you wanted a better output you can try for a tri-band option it may be slightly better . Do you agree ?
Hi, can I connect this directly to my fibre box and skip my ISP modem/router?
Hi Andi, can you force connection of a smartphone ti 2.4Ghz band?
I have a modem and Deco x60 mesh wifi system. I dont need wireless internet 24x7. All devices needing 24x7 access are connected through LAN cable. Can the mesh system be turned off when not required (say at night) and turned back on when needed?
    Andi Palmer Rocks!
Hello. Do you keep your old modem/router wifi on? Meaning two wifi modem and deco. And which operation mode you use on the video?
Wanted to love the Deco, especially because it's half the price of the Orbi, but it wasn't enough for my application. Ended up going with the Orbi, twice the price but range was just better.
How much does you have from the provider? 100mbps?
Those units don't seem to be bad for the price. I think the ASUS is better but it costs a lot more
Do you have to keep the original mesh device connected to the ISP modem/router?
If the decos are as close as 1 meter to each other, would it be a problem?Actually, there is a small distance in between, but it is covered with walls. And I want to buy 2 separate decos for that area and set up as a wired backhaul. I have already some decos in my house. I want to add more.
looks like your phone isnt connected to wifi6
Hey Andi, great review. I'm using E4R in my condo. Have four units installed, really great produx. Thinking of upgrading to Wi-Fi 6 soon. This video helps me to find some good info. Thx mate! (Shah Alam, Malaysia)
