Minor tip for anyone who bought a used device, you might have to reset the device to set it up properly. The reset button can be found underneath the device and pushed with a thin object (press till it flashes yellow)
I thought the internet speed would be the same as the wired router, as long as we were close to any node

I've had the M4's for just under a year and I have had nothing but trouble with them. The main unit kept locking up and the network would go down. Sometimes it take half an hour of resetting to get it back up. I sent that unit back and got a replacement, but now the replacement unit is having the same issues. Tech support has tried coming up with a solution but no joy. So, after just a year, I have just purchased a set of Google mesh units.

Does anybody know if we can select a specific deck device as a source signal for another deco device ? I mean that in my house we have 4 different deco mesh E4 devices but the one receive weak signal from the first main but not from the one which is situated more close. I wish I am clear. Thnks

I have 3 routers in series connected by Ethernet to each other in Access Point mode. If I am not interested in WiFi roaming in the house, then, which single unit has the stronger signal—each node of Deco, or each C6 router? I want to know about the quality of the signal of each Deco node Vs a single C6 router. Is it the same?

One of them must all the time be connected via ethernet to my main modem? Can't all of the mesh routers work wirelessly without any ethernet connection to my main modem?
I know nothing, and just finished setting it up. It is easy, just need to be patient with the led lights to do their thing. My wife was getting around 10-15 Mbps in her study at the end of the hall. I put one in her study and now getting around 180 Mbps. So far, so good. .... Thanks, and be well!

When I hard wired the system to my modem, the instructions say unplug the modem and connect the cable to the mesh tower and the modem and re plug.... That didn't work after 2 hours I disconnected and then plug my modem back in and then used the Ethernet cable to connect mesh to modem ... worked better

Thanks man. I was looking into this system, and found a 2 unit system at walmart right at my price point. I appreciate the review, and this increases my confidence this may be a good choice. I'm currently using a wifi repeater and it's garbage. These speeds look very hopeful for me, especially considering I'm getting 20 mbps down now.

I added Ethernet back haul using powerline adapters TL-PA8081P KIT and doubled the wifi speed from the satellite node. Both nodes are about the same speed. Would have been better with cables
