I did find that one should wait until the drive shuts off before unplugging. It may take a bit longer to store all the information then the display can show for large transfers etc. I did unplug and connect to another computer rather hastily and lost everything
This looks good and I need a new third Portable Hard Drive. However, in my uninformed opinion with only about 130 GB installed info on my PC's Local Disk, using this Toshiba one may be like me going out shopping driving a bus. Could you recommend a similar Portable Hard Drive (Solid State), please?

Great tip, and great drive, I have many back up drives, you can never be too safe. I do agree about not getting the max amount of storage on one drive, unless you are a coder or produce a lot of videos and/or animation, a mechanical drive will wear out & putting all of that data on one drive is not the best idea. I even use DVD/CD's to store certain data.

Cheers Dave. Looks like a very good value backup drive to me. Good advice about keeping backups too. I seem to have spent most of my working life trying to drum this into customers who can't or won't understand the importance of more than one backup!

Many of disk dur externe cause problem in swith with cable so if this switch is damagde I think it's batter to install with it an adapter to use it like internal disk dur inside PC or to change another adapter

I got this drive just last week and was surprised it came in an air bubble pack, which was a bit strange. But now here we see it doesn't come in a protective bubble pack and thinking back I guess I was lucky mine came with the extra protection.
Is it good to buy?
