Is this a hidden gem of a lens for video? When you consider the price on the used market, I definitely think so! But what is your favourite hidden gem of a filmmaking tool that we should know about?
I'm not sure why anyone would think that a non stabilized lens is good for vlogging unless adapted onto a body with IBIS? Canon DSLR or R/RP shooters can't use this to vlog with. R5/R6 shooters sure, but those guys have the money for the real deal 15-35 anyway so I find this lens rather moot for hybrid shooters but pretty awesome if you are a stills-only shooter. If you can't shell out for RF 15-35, just adapt the Tamron G2 VC 15-30 which has vibration control, and is pretty damn amazing for video and vlogging. Sure it's 1600 Canadian dollars, but still better than 3 grand for RF 15-35.

Do you find the autofocus performance on par with Canon 16-35mm F2.8 USM?

(Edited, I was wrong) Did I hear you say it is meant for full-frame cameras? It is not. If you put this lens on a full frame camera you get to see the sides of the lens. (edited) OEPS sorry I was talking about another lens. The 11-16.

i use same lens almost 4 year, very solid lens. last 2 years the problem autofocus gear broken, but its okay, i remove all part autofokus and it still use untill now without problem.

Completely off topic, but not sure how else to contact you guys regarding this. The Sharktank Podcast is just what I have been looking for. I enjoyed 6 episodes today on my drive to Kuala Lumpur and back. Like a sucker for punishment I started at #1. So, just a few things that stuck out. (actually only one, I've been up since 4am and can't think straight) Porn mags found in the woods. Like many things that we thought at the time were unique to our childhoods, it seems every 12/14 yr old boy was privvy to these gifts from the porn pixies. Was this the first record of gorilla marketing or were the catholic priests trying to flush out some fresh 'meat' for confession? Also Diesel cars.
HIDDEN JEM! I would say no, because I've seen it at several used camera stores. Now, you just reminded me of a good lens to buy down the road for shooting videos. (: Do you all have or use the Sigma ART lenses? 2.8 or faster stops yes?

Tokina 16-28mm: Canon 16-35mm: bought the Tokina 17-35 F4 which is a better competitor for the same focal range as the 16-35mm at the sacrifice of a stop and honestly i have noticed similar results, it is also cheaper on sale for 365$ on B&H right now. I wish i knew about this stuff earlier because i didn't think a budget option existed for this focal range on full frame, i always thought i couldn't afford to really invest in proper real estate glass but this is perfect for my needs.

I had my tokina for 6 years bought it off of Amazon for $600 i love it but yes it it very heavy and i was looking for a similar lens for the nikon 14-24mm which is like $2000 so when i seen a $600 same type range lens somewhat i went for it but am gonna find another better one i am a Nikon shooter

Hey do you still have that Tokina 16-28 2.8? Can you try it on the Nikon Z6 or Z7. Hearing mixed reviews can’t get a straight answer.
