There's a lot of ignorance among ordinary citizens about the safety of nuclear reactors. It all depends who is managing it. For greedy companies it's a disaster. But, for responsible countries like the Scandinavians, nuclear energy benefits outweighs the risks.

I think more research needs to be done to do more than boil water with nuclear fission. These plants may work at 95% efficiency but the "spent" rods must still be disposed of and there is no where on earth to dispose of that.
So they didn't solve anything. They're only planning on digging further.

While it is being used IF they are anything like us in the USA they will not be working on a method to replace nuclear energy so here is to hoping there is one as after that end date and there is no more room to put the used fuel then we will be back to the normal methods used now. This is assuming humans are still able to live on Earth due to other environmental factors.

Seems to be a lot of idiots around these parts that don’t understand the environmental implications of nuclear power. If you won’t live above a radioactive dump site, then don’t say you support nuclear power.
Perhaps society needs to reduce our energy needs, by lowering our energy needs, so we don’t need to to rely so much on nuclear, or fossil fuels, etc, live a more simpler greener lifestyle which doesn’t rely so much on capitalism, perhaps we need to stop putting a price or tariff on everything, but valuing the natural world instead of materialism, science is good,but when it becomes all consuming like the desire for wealth and power or to explore the final frontier, space, earthlings are a paradox of contradictions…
