some AM3/FM2 mounts are a bit up and are capable to grip that cooler. I mixed one by accident and fits with a good grip (with some difficulty anyway). I used it in a 4400+ Athlon X2 wjere the stock one ended loose due to that accident.
Can I use it on fm2 bracket BTW I have a antec a30 for my fm2 x4 740 but it tilts on the other side a lot and is not making good contact .what should I do . I don't want to apply a lot of pressure

Bought one of these today $9 for MSY. Works on AMD and intel. Wokring fine on a Xeon E3 1270 For the price its great. I left the thermal paste on. going to use the Intel bracket for a template

I literally hooked the retainer over both hooks in 20 seconds; not difficult at all. Different, but not difficult. You have to grasp the tab between thumb and forefinger and use a bit of strength - granted it would be pretty difficult if already installed in the case (not impossible though), but if you do it before installing the motherboard it's easy.
Yes, until you realize that you need to unscrew the fan from the heat sink, these are a royal bitch to mount. First, you can't see where your hands are working with the fan on. You also will find that you can't put enough pressure on the clip to attach it to the mounting bracket. It feels like the heat sink is too big, but it isn't. Don't go applying thermal paste to the CPUs till you have the mounting bracket on the motherboard and the heat sink separated from the fan. The fan screws on last. They work well in the end. I have a 9 year old i5 (quad core) and used arctic silver thermal paste, the same price as the fan/heat sink. All core temps dropped 50%. My CPUs were literally about to fry without it. Cheap effective investment for an old or overheating PC. Thermal paste dries out and cracks off about 9 years in. Also, by that stage, your original fan and heat sink will be dirt cake. You won't believe it till you crack open your case lol.
let me tell you what j discovered so far Intel coolers are noisy but efficient for example temperature is 30 C and the fan is spinning around 2400 rpm s and the only problem is noise . This cpu cooler is quiet because its spinning around 1500-1800 rpms and that amount of revolutions is not sufficient to cool down aluminium below it . if you want to have low temeperature of your system and low noise you must use large cpu aluminium or coper heat sink and a low spinning ventilator that's all so you must pay a little more for the CPU cooler .

I found out that there are two versions of this. One is larger and rated for 95watt in description. This one animates and changes color. The other is smaller and does not contain rating in description. It does not animate and is static RBG. I bought both trying to get the correct one. The only different when shopping is the description and UPC code.
