I was a bit consider it won’t work for me because the house is made of cement and center blocks. Because of the the 2nd floor , my other WiFi extender sometime worked Had to call tech for support to help set it up because it won’t connected to other two boxes. They were very helpful and helped me figure this thing out . I had this shipped out from the US to the Dominican Republic by my account at Blumbox, and was worry it would not work and had to keep it without return because return shipping is very costly. However system is doing find and have very strong sister signed on second floor , very happy.

You can add more nodes to this mesh system for better coverage.
It might have been a good idea to turn off the upstairs repeater before you tried to install the Nova in the upstairs bedroom. This is because the repeater could interfere with, and block the signal from, the Nova. I wonder if you've tried that to see if it helps?
I have the tenda mw3 and iats trash I get max 60mbps and I'm paying for a lot more I'm upgrading from this as it just doesn't push enough MBPS for me

Hi, How is the long term performance when multiple devices are connected? Did your signal ever drops or disconnects? I bought the cheapest mesh, the halo s3. Speed test is fine but after a while signal is dead. S3 choks when multiple devices are connected. I constantly have to restart the system to get internet back.
thanks for your video. I have Tenda Mw3, and can connect from lenovo thinkpad, iphone, with normal speed download as from ISP. But somehow when I connect from macbook, my download speed is only 25% from normal speed. When I connect my macbook directly to my previous wifi router (not tenda mw3), it is normal as from ISP. Have you experienced with this condition? Please share Thank you

Please note that the Tenda MW3's encryption is not actually WPA2-PSK, but WPA/WPA2-TKIP, which was deprecated years ago as obsolete. You should expect your network to be hacked. Also, the MW3's call out to Internet sites in China several times a minute, but apparently work normally if you block their access with your firewall, so it doesn't seem to be a needed function. Tenda has been promising a firmware update to change this behavior for over a year.

Hello sir Broll gusto ko lang sana itanong ito bago ako bibili. Currently using PLDT HOME Fibr 30mbps (router) at gusto ko din sana yung kagaya nung sayo na meron 3 packs of tenda nova. Paano connection neto kung gumagamit ka din ng pc? Ganito po ba dapat ang pag connect PLDT Router > Tenda Nova > Ethernet Cable > System Unit? As far as I know hindi po open lahat ports ng PLDT Home Fibr at kung may alam kayo kung paano ito mabubuksan please do reply here sir. Newly subscriber here. TY
If you had a modem-router combo but you switched off the wifi and you're using only tenda mesh itself, the auto detection for the internet setting is usually dhcp. Should it be dhcp or bridge mode?

Get rid of the garbage Optus modem they are terrible. My house looks bigger than yours by the looks of your plan and I get wall to wall internet even out in my carport. I get a signal in the shed up the back yard also just not as strong as I would like hence why I am getting a mesh system. Buy a quality modem and it will fix your problems. Thanks for the video mate.
I have been running a combination of MW6 and MW3 for 3 months now. If I use an ethernet cable from any of the nodes the speeds are acceptable. With an 80/20 download/upload speed into my home, I average 70+/17 via secondary nodes on ethernet cables. Furtherest node speed is 45/15 in a detached garage. Wi-fi best on any node including primary is 50/15 but everyone in the house has a strong stable WiFi signal for simultaneous Roku streaming and MS Teams and Zoom meetings. There are better mesh systems out there but not sure if there is anything better at the same price as the Tenda

Great video thanks James! One question. You have an Ethernet wired connection between your foyer and your lounge but you did not use it to connect the secondary node to the primary node. Would that not be better than having them connect via Wifi? Or is it not possible for the nodes to connect this way?

Hello, Great video. I have some questions. I have a 8mbps connection and Have a Modem router (1 device). 1- Do I need to Keep DHCP in both Modem routers and Mesh Node ? I'll be having 2 right ? 2- Do I need to set the primary to Bridge or DHCP. Which one os better, it's set automatically to DHCP once connected to my modem router.

I’m not getting the same speed from my ISP in my secondary node. I’m using two nodes specifically and i’m on DHCP mode. ISP: 100mbps Primary node: 93-95mbps Secondary node: 50-68 mbps Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!
Hi! How does the tenda mw3 compare to the tplink deco m4? Do all mesh wifi systems have support for Wifi 802.11 k/v/r for seamless roaming and fast transition? Does the phone(or other wifi consuming devices) also need to have wifi k/v/r support for the seamless switching in between nodes of the mesh network?

Hi - A good review of Tenda Mesh. So I bought one. However - I seem to have 2 SSID connections - 1 original ASUS router and the new MESH one. Is this correct? but connect with MESH is not always 100% stable. Any advice would be great.
Hello sir, is this mesh system good for gaming? I live in an apartment and im using my ISP router currently and it's pretty bad. sometimes my phone disconnects from it even though im sitting next to it. Im considering the mw3 and I'd like to know if i can play games such as rainbow six siege or fortnite with low ping. Currently paying for 1gbps internet
The thing that sort of kills the MW3 versus their more expensive models is that the ethernet port that you connect to the incoming internet router is choked at 100mbps. I have a 350mbps Virgin service would would be choked at 100mbps and there's nothing you can do to change this. MW5 upwards if you have faster than 100mbps internet or you want to future proof.
Hi Mike I have a VM super hub 2 , purchased the Tenda MW3 system a few days ago , it seemed to work ok to begin with then everything was dropping out . After calling VM before the weekend they confirmed they couldn’t pick up a signal from our hub . Engineer attended and found issues with our signal from the cabinet on the street and also boosted the signal on our hub . Seems to have come alive and am now thinking what I can use the Tenda for as it seems pretty useful . Just double checking it’s not a good ideas to leave the hub in WiFi mode as it may cause issues ?
Hi Mike saw your review on Tenda, having connection issues with Virgin Hub, bought the MW3 but speed has not been cut in half was getting 136 mps on Hub3 but only getting about 50mps on the Nova, on a good point everything seems to connects to Nova perfectly, no connection issues-Any advice to how to get the speed back up as called Virgin they advised its because you are using a third-party modem.

How far down the garden can you get WiFi? I have a man cave that's built about 6-7 metres from the home. Hoping these tenda's can reach that far (probably 10m away from main node, through a window)
