BAD ROUTER !. As a router it is lousy. It does not deliver more than 100mb if you use it in router mode. In my house I have contracted 200 mb of bandwidth speed and I get it if I connect my devices directly to my Internet provider's Modem. But when I connect this Tenda AC6 Router and my devices to the antennas of the latter it does not give me 200 Megs. It can only deliver more if it is used as a Wifi repeater (around 160 megabytes) which is not the idea since I don't want to have 4 Wifi signals in my house (2 from modem plus 2 from Tenda). To all this try to connect a Cat5e cable between the modem and the Tenda Router. I am a COLLEGE IT Technician with more than 7 years of work experience and I have never encountered such a SCAM of equipment.
I have issue with all tv cast platforms (YouTube, spotify, alexa dot, oculus quest 2). Sometime diconnect after 10sec and sometime can't connect at all. Same with 2.4 and 5.0. upnp already enabled. someone fix that? Thanks

I'm pretty sure everything I've read states that the WiFi radio waves typically travel out and down, like an umbrella. I know this somewhat can change with the implicit beamforming and/or MU-MIMO if both have the technology. Or I suppose you can adjust the antennas to send out the waves in a more vertical pattern, but depending on where most of the devices connecting to the router are, usually a raised open space on the lower level is recommended. I probably wouldn't put it on the upper level unless most of the devices were upstairs. Otherwise the waves have to travel through the floor to the downstairs devices. Feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken, but that's what I've read more or less.

My Tenda AC6 1200 router arrived today and just set it up, it has 5 antennas, don't know the difference between the 4 and the 5 antennas but it works great.
Your ISP sucks dude. 6 Mbps is pretty bad. Was it on 2.4 or 5 GHz? Even for 2.4 is bad.
