Could it be possible for you to cancel the background piano music? Thank you.
What do you mean the lens wobbles?
Brilliant review - thank you!
Just got this puppy used in early 2021 for abt. 220 EUR. Thanks for the informative though not too flattering review.
So I have this lens. Biggest reason to buy a Nikon lens is auto distortion control on Nikon cameras which is not available on this lens. For me that is why I use a Nikon 18-200 vr Nikkor over this Tamron. That said, in normal use this is a really good lens, and 16mm over 18mm as a start point is advantageous. I would buy the nikkor I did and the cheap super wide dx lens. I also have a Sigma 150-500 for my telephoto uses. But most of the time I use dx nikkor 18-200 vr.
Absolutely love your review. It's not bias, the video is not long, good tests to the lens and I love the comparison to a similar direct competitor.
what size lens protector is suitable for this lens ?
hi!, will this work on my canon m50
I hope you vcsn test Tamron AF 28-300/3,5-6,3 Di VC PZD for Canon EOS
Question. This video is six years old now. Do companies ever "fix" things on older lenses without releasing a full new lens? In other words the issues you say you had with this lens, could they have been fixed so this video is a bit out of date or would they never do that? I am having a hard time deciding on a lens to start with. I have narrowed it down to a Canon 18-135mm, a Tamron 16-1300mm or a Tamron 18-400mm I think, but unsure if all of these review/opinion videos are still pertinent.
Superzoom lenses are mostly meant for travel and wildlife photography
Played this video side by side with the Sigma 18-300 review. What I've noticed, that the 2 lens's performance are opposite of each other. Sigma is sharper on the telephoto end, while the Tamron is sharper on the wide end. Plus I think Tamron have better IS. From this on, it's only your decision. Very annoying that after Tamron showed up with the 18-400, they've cancelled this lens for Canon bodies. You can only buy it second hand. What a shame.
I absolutely love how in-depth your reviews are Keep up the good work :D
I can't comment on this one, but the 18-400 is an excellent lens.
What is the price of the lens in Egyptian pounds?
After missing an opportunity to snap an extremely low flying bomber as I had the Tamron 70-300 fitted and I didn't have time to switch lenses I realised at that moment I needed a single lens to cover the full range from 18-300. That was 3 years ago now and not got one yet as I just don't use my camera enough. As I'm off on holiday next year now is the time and I'm leaning strongly towards the Tamron. Despite the issues it's ticking all the boxes. The user reviews are great and your final words are sealing the deal for me. Thanks for the review.
Can someone tell me if this lens is better or worse than the Nikon kit lens (18-55mm F/3.5-5.6? I have the kit lens that comes with the Nikon D3300) image quality-wise?
will this lens works with canon 60D & 80D ?
How would this compare to the 18-400 or the 28-700 tamron full frame
in lingua italiano
Hi is this will work with canon M50?
This lens would open up the heavens when attached to the brand new 90d
This lense at 300 mm is only 220 on my nikon 200 500.
Is this lens a full frame lens
Thanks for the to the point review. Sir I m confused. For my Canon 200D will this be much better choice over Tamrons 18-200mm considering that it costs almost three times than that of 18-200. Please guide me. I am a newbie.
I’m loving the lens. But your audio is killing me.
Is there a reason why one should select the 28-300 Tamron over this one?
thank you
hi I am having Nikon D610 will it fit to my camera ? how will be the photos ?
Im choosing between this and nikon 18-300 f3.5-6.3, which one would you recommend more
Hi Dustin, I am looking for a good all around "walk around lens for Canon 5D Mark iv any suggestions?
I just bought this lens 1 month ago, and I like it. I have it mounted on my 70D and will be taking it to Italy in 7 days. I will also bring my 10-18mm STM and a 24mm Canon. Looking forward to seeing how it performs
I have a D5300 and am considering this lens since my body is a crop, do you however think that the 28-300 for full frame cameras is a better alternative even if I have a D5300? You seemed to be more impressed with it.
Love these videos.
What do you think of this lens vs the canon 15-85mm in terms of image quality?
Hello Dustin, will this lens work with Olympus OM EM5 MARK II?
I was about to replace my (18-55 and 55-200mm) kit lenses with a Tamron 18-200mm and then follow it up later with the 75-300mm (I have a canon 7d) but then I discovered this lens and am wondering if I should stick with plan a) and get the 2 I had originally planned, or get the 16-300, which would cover both, but loses quality after 250mm!? Obviously the advantage would be that it's cheaper in the long run and I wouldn't need to change lenses to get the super zoom, but do you think it's worth the pay off? Basically what I want is someone to tell me what lens I should order!
Dustin, Great video. Thanks. I have a Tamron 18-200 and am looking at this lens as a replacement. When in video mode, my camera picks up the noise of the focusing apparatus in the lens and it really takes away from the video. Does this lens make a similar noise? Should I consider an off-camera microphone? Thanks, Tom
I use this lens with Nikon D5300 and it rocks.
what size lens protector is suitable for this lens ?
to get a sharper image use higher shutter speed. and if possible one stop up.
Unprofessional review, waste of time.
מבטא חצי ישראלי חצי אמריקאי
thank you sir
hi dose it fit to Nikon D610 ? how about the photos and videos quality
very nice
how to work nikon df
Nice. But please correct the spello at 09:45 - *videos*. Thanks.
I found this video to be pretty misleading. I have had the Tamron 16-300mm lens for a little over a month now and use it on my Canon 80D. I experienced none of the distortion the reviewer showed at maximum reach. I suspect that the primary cause for his results is that he left the image stabilizer turned on and was using a tripod. Most photographers know that when using a tripod you turn the image stabilizer off. I would caution anyone not to rely on this review when seriously considering this lens. I am very happy with it.
I could see this lens being a great vacation lens, simply because you can pack one lens and get some very nice looking images! Sure it doesn't compare to a 70-300, but neither does a 24-85 or 17-50. I would feel confident that I can capture landscapes and then have that extra reach, in case Bigfoot pops out of the bushes or I want to capture a Ram decending a mountain peek
I had this lens but returned it and have nikon 18-300mm which I'm very satisfied with. His review is the best so far in regards to this lens. Tamron is an excellent lens and comparable to the nikon 18-300mm during in low light situations that you can clearly see the difference between the 2 lenses . Also the Nikon is a more silent lens but that doesn't bother me.
By the way, the lens excellent protection against moisture! review! I have a 70-300 mm lens & was planning to buy this one but after seeing the comparison photos, I think I will just stick to the lens I have. Oh! & what's up with people making fun of his accent? I think he speaks much better English than what you guys speak and/or write. You don't have to write your "expert" comments on each and every video you watch. Crazy people!
what kind of person swaps the pictures when doing a comparison reviews ?! are you fucking serious ?
I have both lenses for my D7000, I'm a pixel peeper and I have always been disappointed by the quality of the 70-300, only occasionally do I get sharp images at 100%. The 16-300 images sometimes seem sharper, or at least are no worse.
i believe that the closest comparison for this Tamron lens is the Nikon you do that comparison? thanks
Great review, very helpful thank you. < 3
Sorry, but whats the purpose of comparing this with 70-300 lens ?  The people who wants to buy this lens are the ones who are looking for one lens to to do all kind of things. The comparison should have been among the Nikon/Canon/Sigma 18-200/250/300 types of lenses, or say its predecessor 18-270. Comparing with 70-300 dosent give the correct picture JUST because its longest focal length matches.
I wish I would have seen this review before I bought this lens. Luckily, the store let me exchange it for a much better lens, the Canon 18-200. Thanks for a good and honest review.
The 28-300 version though on old fx Nikon’s like the d700 are a revelation with the weather seal and vr and silent focus and is a brilliant combo.
Hi from Japan. Tell me please. I have same camera Canon you used in video my model is: X9i ( for Japan ) T7i (for America ) and 800D for other countries. It’s diameter is 58mm (my camera model), my question is: that Tamron Lens has same 58mm? Or it’s diameter is 67mm? I was surprised because You don’t used any adapter in that video and directly put that Tamron lens in your T7i explain me and thanks. I am sorry about my English
That wasn't a review. It was an ad
Hi, is it better this or the two Canon EF-S 18-55 USM IS + 55-250 IS II?
Hi can i used that lens on my canon M50 with speed booster adapter? Thanks
is this still avalable and how much does it cost please
NEVER heard of this company. Found them on Amazon doing extensive research on who to go with. I say who because I don't want any issues with a bad supplier. That's gotta be the worse thing when you're forking out big bucks for a lens. I normally buy Most products off Amazon and a lot of times trust them over my local retailer. Sad to say but true. However, when buying lenses, cameras or equipment in general, I've heard that it has to be purchased through an authorized Tamron Dealer, hence the reason why I got here. Anyway, I think I'll give you guys a try and see how I get treated.
do a video on tamron 70-300mm vc lens please. compare both of this
does it just come in a variety of mounts? Or will we need an adapter for canon to (lens mount type)
Like • Cheers from The Detroit & Mackinac Railway
I would be afraid to buy from Goja, they used to be a Nikon dealer then happened? Also, I tried to buy a Digital Goja "Amazon" Sigma 100-400 for Nikon (great deal with dock) combo but the rude representative told me via e-mail "store only." Guess what, the combo showed up at Amazon again a week later!
