Honestly speaking Givson guitars are really not good. The acoustic guitar is made from plyboard and electric guitar is made from pine wood which is really not good. Then they never position the frets properly and it's not good for intonation. However it's personal choice of people to buy Givson guitars.

Great overview and playing by the amazing Ben I’m in the US so Faith are not readily available though a 2010 Venus just showed up at Elderly Instruments in Lansing about an hour away so I’m curious to play it if it is still there when I am able to get out there. My only recommendation for demonstrating the pick ups is to play it through an amp of some sort, because I can’t imagine too many situations where someone whatever plug directly to a board and record. They just sound too quacks direct. It’s much more likely it would be played at least through a PA system, unless, of course you have a pick up like the anthem stage Pro by LR Baggs, which has a mic in it.
I played a Faith Naked in guitar store in Carlow a few weeks back great playability and sounded good, but atheistically it's just too plain. I know Faith said they would rather all Solid instead of fancy inlays, rosettes, binding etc, but it really detracts from the guitar. I know it is not cheap, but it actually doesn't look great. Don't @ me it's just an opinion.

Tell us the prices at the start. I watched it for a while then skipped ahead to see the prices and ads started so I just gave up.
My Blood Moon Venus (shame he didn't review that model too) is my #1 go to acoustic now. I use it for all acoustic gigs and recording, a situation that has led me to selling my two Taylors (that cost a LOT more) as they were just gathering dust and i wanted them to have good homes. My friend I often do gigs with has a Martin OM-28e which of course is a very nice guitar. But she borrows my Faith to record with now.

All faith naked guitars at least used to get a gig bag and the naturals got a hard case. Have they changed it now?
Another fine demo of interesting guitars by Ben. The only slight disappointment for me is that there aren't more acoustic videos shown on the Andertons YouTube channel (Lee and Pete, something for you to think about, perhaps?).
They make a gorgeous cut-away parlour. I played a mahogany one in Guitar Guitar once.
I used to love them a few years ago until I had problems with the pins popping out - the wood under the pins (inside the guitar) was getting chewed up.

The specs are wrong for the naked, it's ebony fingerboard and you do get a basic gig bag
I really like the naked, you can't beat it for £400, all solid wood. Ebony fingerboard, plays great, ideal for the home guitarist on a budget (me)

Maybe the old one's are not that old
Been using the Lifespan strings for 20 years. Best acoustic strings on the market.
Old strings sound better
Here it doesn't sound different at all, but I know the difference and new string always sound much brighter. Maybe this mic wasn't suitable for the comparisson
There's a subtle but noticeable increase in bottom end as strings are worn in and I'd argue that the quality doesn't change throughout the lifespan of a set of strings during its use but instead shifts toward a sound that works well for a different playing style
Overtones are clearly more audible in the newer set!
It kinda depends on how old the ‘old’ strings were. When the brass wound strings begin to oxidize, there is a big difference when fresh strings are put on.

Martin strings sound bad both new and old
New strings FEEL better. They pop just a bit more but it isn't that significant.

And how old is "OLD" like were they used for a long time and then - or were they installed , not played, and then tested? Either way great sounding!
