Ok, I ordered some samples from Ankit. Cons - The 100% cotton is a bogus claim. It is at least 5-10% polyester blend. Wear it for a day during a workout or a brisk walk, you will know what I am talking. Got it checked with a friend who is in the business, he confirmed at least 10% polyester blended fabric, not 100% cotton given the firmness and fall of the fabric. Have used 180-200 GSM double biowashed fabric in the past of various types of cotton from Egyptian to Supima cotton, can tell what's 100% and what's blended. I hope Ankit comes clean on this. The size of the T-Shirt is smaller when compared to most other T-shirt manufacturers so the fitting lies between 'just comfort fit' and 'tight fit'. This would be ideal for folks in their late teens or early 20's but people slightly older like those in their 20's or early 30's would prefer some breathing space in their garments which is missing. The sleeve length is half so you will be flashing your upper arm. Someone with bulky arms is bound to get a little conscious as not everybody likes attention. Pros - The color is solid. The fabric finish is very fine and has a good, rich feel to it. No fuzzing, no wear and tear after multiple washes which reaffirms it is not 100% cotton :). Reliability - Coming to reliability of the seller, the samples had a tag named 'Gentle5ve' on the collar claiming 100% cotton which I know it isn't. Googled Gentle5ve, got zero matching results. Googled DuShirts and made it to India Mart's page of DuShirts which lists Ankit Gupta as the owner. No details of factory location, no other manufacturer details available. How do we trust him with large orders or the product claim? Is he really a manufacturer or a marketer? Hard to tell from the disclosures made so far. Maybe more videos of the factory would help or the Yarn to Fabric story may just fall apart. In short, the quality of T-Shirts is good and durable. Can be sold but what if there is a quality issue? Can we expect consistency in repeat orders? Or do we get it from another manufacturer in the next batch? Being in the business, have faced these issues in the past. Who do we approach? What is the remedy? Who do we sue? These are questions a large printer or brand is bound to ask and sadly, Ankit gave no answers. I hope he comes forward and clears the air. If he is a marketer/reseller who is sourcing from manufacturers, that's really fine but a buyer needs to know more details to build trust regardless of whether DuShirts manufactures 3 lakh T-Shirts a month or 30 lakh T-Shirts, will the buyer continue getting the same quality in repeat orders? That reassurance is needed and a factory visit/details is a must. If you are a small player with orders ranging in 100-200 numbers, go ahead. If you are a large player and intend to do serious business, do due diligence before taking the plunge.
