Hellow Mech. Guru, I heard about you through youtube channel. And I am impressed by your technical skill. so I have confusion about the auxiliary boiler, I hope you can solve my confusion by your expertisation. problem is below. We have two kinds of boiler, HP boiler with pressure 42.1 kg/cm2, temp 380 C and 2nd is MP boiler with a pressure of 17.2 kg/cm2, temp 360 C. Start-up time for HP boiler is 5 to 6 hr will get pressure 42.1 kg/cm2, temp 380 C by the following the start up the curve. also start-up time for MP boiler is 5 to 6 hrs and will get pressure 17.2 kg/cm2, temp 360 C through following by start up the curve. My question is both boiler start-up time is same, but HP boiler get pressure 42.1 kg/cm2 and MP boiler gets only 17.2 kg/cm2 at the same time. both boiler number of burner and capacity are the same. but HP boiler steam production total capacity is 160 T/h and mp boiler capacity is 190 t/hr What is reason behind this why MP boiler taking also 5 to 6hrs for getting 17.2 kg/cm2. if you do not understand above my query please let me know I will explain further.
