just upgraded my sram x5 1x8 to sram sx 12 speed (rockrider 520) had to cgange the hum but after new hub worth 3.4k my rockrider is a beast the drivetrain was of my friend who had upgraded to sram gx on his trek x caliber 8 and gave his old one to me and now it just feels so smooth it feels like i am riding a bike over $1000😍😍
Sram derailleur are only compatible with sram shifters and vice versa because of their unique pull ratio. Also you overspent on the derailleur. A fee years back I bought the same for 1350 rs from decathlon

Will this also work with a sram rival 22 Rear derailleur? I believe it has a max tooth of 32. I wanted it to go as high as 48t if possible on that particular groupset

sram you can use a 10 speed mtb derailleur with clutch on 11 speed shifters 2x11 and 11-36 works good that's because 10 speed mtb derailleur is exact actuation and 2x I have a extra long XO derailleur with a 11-40 cassette and 48/32 in the front it works no tricks
I've wanted to do a 1X conversion and I came across this video over the winter. I converted my NRB from Shimano to SRAM RIVAL with the Garbaruk cage, pulleys and 11-50 cogset and it works great! Ever so slight noise in one cog but it is nothing annoying. THANKS!

I am looking at setting up something similar to this for a drop bar 29er build I am working on. I understand the parameters and resources you are working under but I am looking at setting this up with a Shimano drivetrain. Do you think it's possible and do you think I should use a road or mtb derailleur? I would probably be using an 11-50t sunrace cassette but this video has me thinking about using this garbaruk cassette. Thanks for the experimentation and for saving us all time and money.

I have a gravel bike that I originally specced with Sram Rival 1x11 groupset, 42t front chainring and 11-42 casette in the back. Looking to upgrade with the garbaruk long cage as well as their 10-50t casette. Do you reckon chain length will be ok if I use the same? Or should it be longer/shorter? thanks
