Can you wheelie on the stem?? Please tell me because I cant wheelie on the normal handlebar because it loosens up
U R great broo... I LUV ❤ U...
This video really helped me save a lot of money on a new bike. Like many people, low back pain happens and adjusting the handle bar height helps. This video helped me decide on buying an adjustable stem and not a whole bike. My bike is 40 years old but in perfect condition. Thank you
I don't see the advantage. Seems like the adjustable stem is on backwards. Would you want it angled toward you so that you are riding in a more upright position? 9
Hi great video! I am just starting to look into the adjustable stem feature. I am unable to hyper extend my arms and need handlebars as close to me as I can get them. I noticed you installed the new stem facing away from you, can it also be installed with it facing toward you to bring the handlebars even closer to you? Would love to hear your opinion on this.
nice video very informative and so much helpful for limited budget.
Can you use other kind of stem like a negative stem?
Thanks for making this video
bro this is exactly what I was looking for
I spent an hour looking for this kind of video, thanks so much.
what name of old stem
RIP your white wall.
Sweet job. I actually have a crossroads with the stripped allen screw. Good motivation to change the whole stem:)
Supper bro
Exactly what I needed to know ! Thanks!
Do you find the adjustable stem sturdy/reliable? I tried one on a hybrid bike but the it loosened and the handlebars dropped while cycling so I removed it...maybe I just didn't have it tight enough!
does your handlebar and bar stem have to be the same
Can you fit the adjustable stem so that you can have it aimed at the rider not out front as you put it on your bike? I'm thinking that towards the rider it was also be closer as well as higher
Great video!!! I was considering buying new bicycle because just because I wanted higher steam because my back problems but now I just will buy adjustable steam!!! My bicycle is Alpina Apache! Thank you!
There's a version with the 22.2 steere post I've seen it on ali express basically all in one package with no need for the adapter
Love brooks saddles, the suspended leather saved my behind, literally, when I used to ride daily in NYC.
Had more issues with gatorskins than any other tire. Everything from surprisingly frequent punctures and pinches to manufacturing defects. I find the main compound too powdery/dry. You get longer more slippery "cooler" skids but they don't stop as well IMO. Get maybe 3-4 flats a year max with Ribmo tires and the tread seems to last longer. They're also cheaper. Can't say I speak for everyone, just the experience I've had.
Wabi not 600 anymore
Hello I'm new here
Where did you get the front rain guard? How well does it work?
You look like kai sotto
Bought some Onipax pedal straps for £10.Best money Ive spent....And they match my bike.Bonus!
Just me watching with no whatsoever funds to buy these and not even having a bike much less a fixed gear: "hmm okay interesting"
If you going for seatpost or even stems profile design are awesome and I think the best headset I have used came creek ones.never failed
Panaracer classic c tyres banging !
I don’t like the geometry of the wabi , I would like to try it to see if it’s worth the aesthetics… best saddles is the cut outs
Kilo TT used to be $350 dude. Solid bike.
I think this rewiew in not accurate. The gatorskin for Continel are not as good as the supposed quality think. Those tires are very bad in wet conditions and they wear fast. The Brooks Swit is very uncomfortable because is thinner than the B17 so it’s a very painfull saddle wearing it with jeans. It’s beautiful but only that.
oh wow! bought a kilo tt for my ex back in 06 was $250ish. damn. should've gotten myself one too. lol I'm an armadillo man, i think its the orange in the gators i don't like =P
Pake Rum Runner is another extremely underrated steel frame fixed gear bike.
Hey Zach, you videos are dope ! Could you do an in-depth review of the Nitto Bullmoose Bars? I really like the look of those!
Continental 4 seasons 700x25 is 100% worth it
that is a motley ass tim burton bike and those straps aint helpin man, this channel is pure meh
Xl bullhorns are hands down my best mod
ThickSlick tires Ritchey headsets & stems Velocity wheels Shimano 600 hubs Sugino chainrings FSA chainrings & cranks White Industry freewheels Hawk Racing bb's and jockey wheels Thompson seatposts
Foot retention (which you didn't have) is essential when riding a fixed gear bike, it is what really allows you to control the bike, especially when going down hill. Some ppl like straps or cages, but I prefer clipless pedals 🤷 (although it is easier to learn to skid with straps as opposed to clipless)
well at least u have rim brakes both on the front and on the back wheel, which makes it considerably less ridiculous than what the hardcore fixie riders do.
It would be nice to have a switch like we do for changing gears that would turn fixed gear on and off.
I used to love my fixie but then I graduated from tricycle to bicycle.
Nope
What’s a “hill”?
Yes, it is ridiculous...ridiculously fun and I love it. Fixed gear bike is a life style, of course it isnot for everyone.
Fixies look like they must feel like riding my purple huffie when I was 9.
This is the channel I've been lookin for🙌🙌🙏😅
1:40 Wait, seriously? That simple?
Fixed gear bikes are def an acquired taste for specific landscapes.......... but man I must say commuting by fixie in NYC was by far the most fun I've had on a bike, and I have pretty much done it all except mountain biking. The lightness, track standing, the momentum.... it's pure. Hell I used to do laps around Central Park on my fixie. Anything is possible if you open your mind lmao.
Flip the back wheel around to make a fixie? Wouldn't the gear be on the opposite side then? https://youtu.be/K-EmWDK0yAk?t=100
Stunts
I can refute "fixies are ridiculous in a city" with one city... Charleston, SC. Also all of the Netherlands. And to hell with straps or clips in Charleston, you can't be a fast courier constantly clipping and unclipping. Use a front brake, done.
You need some form of foot retention if you want to ride fixed.
Riding a fixed with no foot retention is pretty ridiculous.
never put your fits out the pedals pls
Fixies terrify me, I ride on cleats all the time, but things like going downhill on a fixie really scare me, specially considering how used to the brakes I am and it sends me back to the days when I was learning to use the automatic pedals and I fell because I didn't release the feet early enough. Wanna try, but at this point, the n+1 thing is a space problem.
Great video. btw I hate that term #Fixie; I just say Fixed or Fixed Gear.
I’ve been riding fix gear since Hs I’m 25 now and I still ride but not as reckless as before lol 😆 reason I ride it, I feel alive riding in Los Angeles traffic without no brakes ain’t no other feeling like it
