Great review!, it clears some questions I had. Still have a few, How's the audio quality connected with the 3.5 on a Laptop? it changes the audio profile? can it be ANC on connected? How's the audio latency for movies besides the lacking of aptX? audio latency in general really... anyone who has/had these I would appreciate your experience, I'm planning to buy these. Just want some good bass without loosing crisp and clear sound on the mid and high end.

Very dissapointed. Newby I'll admit to headphones at all, but I was looking for something where I could use wireless headphones, NOT BLUETOOTH, as my Insignia TV doesn't support BT. So online I found a couple, Sony being one of them, that purported to be "wireless" NO MENTION of BT. Someone told me some will work if your TV and HPhones are on the same wifi. I went to BestBuy and got these because it said "Wireless" on one side of the box face and BT on the opposite side of the box face. Got home and soon discovered the problem-now I gotta go back to BBuy. Feeling let down what to me, is an attempt by some sneaky marketing bastard to sell a few mistakenly to unsuspecting consumers.

Using this product with my android device, I discovered that I can say Okay Google to bring up the assistant at any time, no need to press a button to summon the assistant.

does it cancel noise during calls(receiver getting noise cancelled voice)?
I use Sony mdrex750 noise cancelling earphones. They have saved me block out the insane noise around me. But need something better

They definitely aren't noise canceling.
I think they sound good. I don't experience the kids and highs being distanf at all. While no Sony ap support, my 1+ phone has built in Atmos controls which is fine. I don't get the "crunchy" complaint either. Additionally, these can be had for $85, not $200, so maybe my expectations weren't as high. I say these are strong buy at $85. Sure, if your budget is $2-300 then you can do better.

Regarding the shallow pads, you can "pack" those with soft material, like rubber tubing, rolled soft cloth, etc. tucked under the pads to lift them away from the speaker surface. Gives big ears like mine more room.
You should also consider these are not made in China as compared to others expensive ones, By buying these you are not funding all dark activities of China

How good are these at cancelling out that beeping noise that trucks make when they're going backwards? I'm getting the impression that noise-cancelling headphones in general are better for lower-frequency noises that aren't as sharp sounding.
