I prefer Bose QC35 over these . The missing multi-connect is a PAIN. The ANC in Sony is better - but makes it awkward to make phone calls because you cant hear yourself. The Sony folds the wrong way... Seriously when putting them into the case, it's all wrong. Turning Sony's on and off is a pain too, you need to press forever. You CAN'T see if the Sony's are ON or OFF

the sound cuts out for a second each time i use it and its quite annoying ...have the sony wf1000(in ear version) as well and same issue , and its more prevalent on those. When i googled it, it seemed like a common issue

so you've never experience pain at the top of ur head after long period of usage? (3+ hours) I've got them half a year ago and lately that's been an issue for me with these headphones... maybe they're not designed to be wore for that long period of times...? I honestly dunno all my life I've used in ear earphones these are my first heaphones in my whole life maybe all of them would cause me this type of pain? or maybe are just these? Using these headphones for 1.5 years now, originally bought them for using public transportation and studying at university, used them for this purpose for a few months before COVID hit. Still love them though, even for jogging!

I have found that using the built-in microphone in this headset on a pc completely cuts out all other audio, like Spotify or other games you are playing. You can not have it enabled on any software like OBS or Discord, as no other audio except for the said discord audio will play. Although, this doesn't really bother me too much because the microphone sucks anyways, and am using a studio microphone for that lol. They are pretty good on sound quality and especially battery life as he went over. Another thing that I noticed while on the pc, you cant use the AUX cord with it correctly? I might just be dumb but I didn't bother with it too much because of the fact that the battery life is good.
The ANC technology easily blocks bass sounds (low frequency) but not so much the high frequencies. Physics... That's why with the plane sound it works perfect but with kids' screams (or other human voices) not so much. :)

I watched this prior to buying, this review being one of the reasons to why I made my mind up. However, the head band strap broke after a few months and Sony refuse to accept it as a guarantee issue. The charge above 100€ to fix it. But that would just give me another pair with the weak plastic strap. All of this from ordinary use, a tiny bit of plastic just shot off one day when removing them from my head. When you show the endurance and squeeking of the strap, that kind of pressure is probably at least 4 times the actual pressure I placed on line while simply placing them or removing on my head.. Sad to say, but wish I didn't buy them. The poor quality of the plastic is insane for a premium product. Love everything else with them apart from built in microphone while taking calls.. My friends hate me for the poor quality. Weird that they haven't been able to solve it..
I feel like the bass and loudness could be even greater than what was offered here, but other than that, no gripes or wishes.

Hello, as I mentioned in my tweet today, the XM3s do have AptxHD codec support which has been removed from the XM4. That is such a bad move I feel. I had ordered TicPods via Indigogo and they were so laggy due to aptx missing. I use the headphones on my iPhone 6S or my R9 3950X workstation which has the latest X570 mobo with BT 5.0. I had made an impulsive buy on the Marshall MID bluetooth 2 years ago without knowing it supported aptx. Now I feel anything without aptx is a downgrade for me. :(
How do we differentiate between a fake and a genuine Sony headset. Are their any other steps other than what's listed on Sony's website?

Hey Ranjit , no doubt 1000XM3 is the best ANC headphones . I used same since last 11 mnts and never disappointed once . The sound quality , the ANC , the different mode settings freedom ...just made this product a jack of all trades ..:) ..A big thumbs-up to Sony and you ...:D
After watching this video, I recently purchased this headphone from Amazon. I bought it for ₹ 26,999.00. After a week time of usage, most of the times I felt that while receiving phone calls, the other party simply couldn't hear my voice, then I had to switch to the loud speaker on my phone, and then back to the bluetooth headset while on the call, which would do the job. But, I'm using a very old smartphone Redmi 4, and may be there is some bluetooth version compatibility issue. Let's see that after switching to a new modern smartphone, how well it does calling. Secondly, before these headphones, I was using Sony MDR XB 920 headphones for almost 5 years, which are wired ones and costed me about ₹12,999.00, and I would say the newer ones had a slightly lower bass than the older ones.
