Thanks dude. Such a shame this is expensive, I paid £200 for the 10-18 in my Canon set up and sold it for 160. Yes that was f4.5 and ultimately I wasn't super impressed which is why I'm hesitant to spend 4 times that amount for half a stop extra light.

I’m still quite a beginner and learning. I’m getting my first camera and I think it’s gonna be the a6600 because I can’t afford a full frame one. I was wondering what’s the problem if I bought the 20mm 1.8 (full frame compatibility) vs 10-18mm on the a6600 which has the aps-c sensor? I’m looking to shoot landscapes. Which would you recommend?

Damn.... I really wish I would have saw the IBIS a6600 stabilization flaws 2 years ago. Thanks for displaying that though. Had I known sooner it would have saved me so much time when deciding between camera bodies for vlogging and I ultimately would have not bought a 10-18 for 800 and just bought an additional camera body. Might as well get a sigma 16mm if your camera has IBIS since they're gonna look horrifically shakey anyway in terms of vlogging.

I have this lens with a a6400 and it has never looked that bad while walking not sure what’s going on but that looked horrible lol
i have this lens.. I'm not quite satisfied with the sharpness, so I bought voigtlander 15/4.5 III.. I still keep the zoom but just for family vacation, I'll probably sell it later

It's 2020 and there's still no great APS-C wide angle lens compared to this one…
Plastic, No weather Seal and Made in China. A little overpriced for that. Bought one used at less than half the price . The used market is the one which really determines the correct pricing.
What a useless video. No pictures, no alternatives, no hints on the screen for remembering. It's like a storm got into my ear and out from another. Seems like he practising and revels by his English rather than do the job.

That lens to much expensive. Actually you can buy used 12mm samyang+ used sigma 16mm f1.4. And you will still have money for speedlight. I have 12mm rokinon bought used for 150 usd and a6000 + cheap youngnuo flash with li ion battery and canon trigger. More than enough for real estate.

Its a great concept and truly needed. But not being weather sealed is a deal breaker. 1/3 of my videos are shot in the rain. This is not a modern lens. Pass.

In other more detailed reviews the 1018 is quite bad, regarding distortion, vignetting and corner sharpness, no comparison to primes or the 1224G.

Hi Arthur, I am taking a trip to the Smoky mountains this fall to photography the fall colors. I have a A6000 and kit lens, and the sel3518. I will carry my Fuji X100F and was thinking of renting this lens for the trip for the A6000. Is there another lens you might recommend for mountain photography or would this 10-18 cover it or the Sigma 16?
