Hi, i have this tv, and i dont know if its just a problem i've had or others share the same experience, but i've noticed i can't use the "screen settings" everything there says "feature not avalable" no matter what i click on. i can't seem to find anyone who knows what the deal is, so i might aswell try here :)
I loved your "eye roll" when you prefaced the price with the word "just"! I have gotten really tired of all these advertisers who LOVE to throw that word in. Like "just $30,000" for example. That number may legitimately called "just" when it's a corporation speaking, but to the average person that is a TON of money!!!!! And btw, even seen a lot of your reviews, and have really found them interesting and useful
Does the page up page Down for the TV guide work. On mine NOT, so I have to scroll one line at a time for a 100 channels, ridiculous. Previous years model was fine!!!!

Thanks for the review. I love my Sony A8G, and use it exclusively for streaming and occasional gaming. I only use a ps4 pro, and no other device, nor do I use the built in android interface (which quite honestly no one should be using if they want to take advantage of the 4K resolution) The PS4 Pro does make a difference in the picture quality compared to just a regular PS4. The cons which were mentioned in the review are all non-factors for me. The sound is simply good, for lack of giving an overstated description such as amazing or incredible. The bass is ambient, but with modesty. The key to getting the most out of this TV is calibrating it yourself. Youll find that perfect configuration from trial and error. One wish I have for Sony would be to get rid of the Auto Brightness Limiter ABL, which darkens the entire screen during scenes when theres a bright background covering the entire set. Notably scenes with mostly bright skies (think Pixars Up) and when theres all white. Seriously get rid of ABL, because I would rather enjoy a fully vibrant picture. Deducting 3/4 point because of ABL, but overall the TV I would rate 4.25 out of 5.

Oddly enough, that stand might be the reason I buy this TV. The trend of having the TV almost flush with the surface it sits on leaves no room for even my low profile Sony soundbar.

Got the small version because it was cheaper, we don't have much room, lighter to reposition if needed.On the negative side, neither I or my wife are TV nerds so we've yet to be able to watch a movie. The old Sony DVD player seems to require different plugs. The manual totally sucks both for assenblywhich is really as simple as you showed,Video setup, and connecting the sound bar, DVD are impenetrable either from the booklet or the online manual. There was a large selection of cables included.The DVD has a optical sound output. The Sony supplied cable fit the DVD but not the TV. Luckily the RCA outputs on the DVD work with the splitter cable for audio input. I couldn't find a cable that would go from the TV single outlet on the DVD to the TV. The RCA style sockets on the TV are about 1/2 a millimeter smaller. It's not like I don't have any experience having built about up about 8 computers, built several CNC machines and controls, and hand soldered a whole radio control set.So, I'll keep trying. Sony has shut down their phone help.

Might be very little, or a very lot in your choice of tv: Next generation PS5 will have the brand new HDMI 2.1 port, to deliver and make the most of 4K gaming frame rates up to 120 fps, higher resolutions up to 8K capability. No HDMI 2.1 port on this oled tv!
My next TV if I can convince my wife we need and upgrade from the Samsung JS9500 we bought in 2016!
