The a7S II was introduced one year after the original a7S of 2014. So its 12MP sensor couldn't be so different than the previous. However the sensor stabilization and the faster processor of a7S II offers better handheld shooting and 4K without external recorder.
Why is a7sii still so expensive?

hi I am a7sii user and i have worry about night scene. I uesd to s-log2 or s-log3 (day scene) But at the night, these setting is so noisy (I shoot over exposure about 2 stops) This film is so clean night clip. so this clip used not pictureprofile? how get good film in night (even I worry to buy new camera(10bit 4k gh5) )

There is one huge problem with this camera for vloggers- when you flip the display up from the back the mic block the views. Not worth it

The Sony a7III was introduced four years later in 2018 and that's why the sensor performance of the Sony a7III is so impressive. The only significant advantage of the Sony a7II is the sensor stabilization. Sony has a long tradition of sensor stabilization from its dSLR period. Even before the purchase of Minolta by Sony the Digital Konica Minolta Maxxum/Dynax 5D and 7D had sensor stabilization.
