Your charger is completely ok but the batteries you used are cheap fakes. It's cheap 350mAh and that's why they charge so quickly. There are no 4600mAh batteries from any manufacturer.

This is due to the batteries you used, not the charger itself. Normal AA NIMH batteries work fine. These are 4800 mah AA proprietary batteries from Sony.

Thank you for your video. it has helped me a great deal. I just bought this product in the UK. I thought it would be safer then buying a cheaper one from abroad. after watching your informative video, I realise they are rubbish and likely dangerous. I notice that it is also unbranded and has no safety marks. Even if it worked, I would not want to leave it charging overnight or unattended. When I try to use it, the screens flicker and go off. I thought they had sent me a broken one by accident but now I know they all appear to be so poorly made, I will try to return it for a full refund.
