Hi.. i want ask about shutter speed. I also have this HX90V but I can't set the shutter speed to be slow or above 1" . It can only set to 1" above if I set ISO to be auto ISO (Multi Frame NR). I don't know if this camera not support slow shutter speed or it's me that dont know how to set this camera to get slow shutter speed. Thanks before.

9:40 Correction I think the port near the tripod mount is probably micro HDMI instead of charging.
the charging socket is on the side what you pointed at was the micro HDMI
I love this cam for shooting concert footage
RX100 series are extremely expensive here, even the first gen RX100 is almost twice as expensive think about it, so I'd rather buy this HX90V instead. Besides I have a D5000 for photography anyway, I was looking for a pocketable camera for decent video quality and a reasonable zoom range, which this model has all of that. Still expensive here (Turkey), about 330-340 USD but nothing near 1600 USD for RX100 M6 :)
Nobody in their review of HX90V tells the fact that if we want to shoot videos in XAVCS HD format, we would require an SDXC class 10 memory card. Even Sony does not supply an SDXC card bundled with the camera. I bought an SDHC class 10 UHS-I compatible spare card with the camera but it has gone waste since even with this card we cannot take videos in XAVCS format. So that is cheating on Sony's part. If reviewers could point this out, it would be a great insight into the camera and viewers could be saved from buying and being stuck with the wrong memory card. Hope you will point it out in your next review.

I bought a Hohem Isteady Multi for this camera, but beware you have to the "V" version of the HX90 as you will not be able to control the camera via the gimbal.

I have this camera! And what is weird about it is how the lens Extends, why does it have this slow down when its half way extended. Other cameras just have one Fluid motion and the lens is out. Not a big deal just wanted to say it.
I switched betwen Pal and NTSC and it not only restarts the camera it can delete all your images. Be carefully

Thanks for posting. But I really wish that reviewers would show the box opening and then come back after a month of using the damned camera!!!! Then report on what can be fully achieved (or not) so that the viewers can get “the good oil” on the camera. I have owned the predecessor, the Sony HX9V, for about 8 years. Fantastic gear, alongside a wide range of other kit. But horses for courses! I have ordered the HX90V today, as the specs and current pricing keep it as a definite go to camera for portable and versatile quality stills and video. Anyone considering buying one - go see it in a shop and then buy one! You will get a lot of use from it! And maybe a DJI Osmo 4 mount ....... 👍😎

When I walk during vlogging he camera tend to focus on and out. So basically my face gets blurry for a while and gets sharp for a while. Very annoying. Any recomendations for the best settings? Inhave one in my pocket. The sound is a shocker isn’t it. If it had an input l, it would be much better. This said, helping my wife with a vlog tomorrow. Main camera is GH5 with rode videomic pro plus or rode NTG4 or news shooter kit but plan to use this for overlay and B roll.

I have HX90V and you can see my latest 5-6 videos on youtube all uploaded in Aug 2019, all are from this camera. But you can see my image quality is not as good as it is showing for you. Can you see and help me in figuring out what i m doing wrong here. What settings did u use in 7:00 onwards. I think Canon G7X Mark II, III or the RX100 Mark III, IV, V or VI, VII would be better but i cant afford it.
are you talking at the same volume in all the footage because i would like to know it you just edited it or the dsc just has better audio quality thanks
