5 years later and I still can't afford it, damn! Screw it, I'll buy rx100 original.
Review ☹ what about slow motion
Who still watching in 2020? 🙋🏻‍♂️
Does anyone know why i dont see the “PC Remote” option in the USB settings of my rx100 iii ? All i see is USB mass storage, MTP and Auto. I need the PC Remote option to use my rx100miii as a webcam
Anyone watching in 2020?
2020 still expensive af
That oneplus one
WHOOOOAAAAA, 'SCUSE ME SIRE. I think we're forgetting about the Contax T3. Prefocusing is not only an ideal but necessary for professional shooters, and I still can't find it on a digital point and shoot.
Can you give me sony rx100iii pleaseeeee!
Hello - is dis cam good 4 beginners?
Still watching In 2020. Still love this camera
Omg! I just won one of these in a photography competition and am getting it soon! I'm so excited!
Is there any port of external microphone?
I heard people start to prefer the canon g7x over the rx100..
Black Friday 2019, got this camera on steal!
Just bought this after extensive research and Marques Brownlee's review clinched it!
Is this better than go pro? I want a camera I can record for about an hour without draining battery quickly. I had a go pro 7 white the battery was gone fast. Got rid
is there no hot shoe????????
Technically you are a vlogger if your on youtube reviews are a type of vlog
With 10,000,000 subscribers I doubt you will answer but what camera are you using to film videos? Thanks
Why you didn't use it to record yourself? That would give clue about what it can do.
Guy that licked the camera is a moron lol
His facial expression when the guy licked the camera
0:06 - i thought i heard testicles here
6:30 i think that song in the background is called tian mi mi
We're trying to work.......asshole. 😂😂

DPreview Chris!
i don't like view finders on Cameras.
i'm more fascinated on how well and confidently you recorded this in such a crowded public place
This camera is the WORST for focus on video and close ups.
would this be a justifiable upgrade from HX90V? I also have A6000
That moron that licked the camera... 😂
I'd go ballistic on the POS who licked the viewfinder. Wtf
Guy in grey t shirt at 4.56 ends up being a complete dick. I could tell you weren't impressed
how to set up slowmo .? please
dont film every one in public THINK BOUT PRIVACY , dont stand in the middle w walking
je n'arrive pas a faire un arriere plan flou moi ..
Now I know why I don't like Jordan 😆 The way he treats the new buddy
I miss a touchscreen :(
thank you very much for this honest review :))
Nice and compact, well designed and takes tack sharp images with lots of color. Love it. 👍👍👍👍👍
Nice review. I think the RX100 iii has a nice sweet spot in the market. I would suggest the milestone RX100 models outside of the original are iii and vi. Rational being most features are broadly similar throughout the range, with incremental but not revolutionary changes on the feature set for the most part. The big exception to this is the lens. The iii introduced the 24-70 1.8-2.8 lens, a big step up on the previous generation. The vi introduced the 24-200 2.8-4.5 lens, trading off max aperture through the range in exchange for a considerable boost in optical zoom. I think those are the really big changes for most people unless you specifically need things like phase detection, 4k etc. So if you want value and the best lens the camera offers for portraits, RX100 iii is the sweet spot. If you want value and the most versatile lens the camera offers, RX100 vi is the sweet spot. (of course disclaimer, I specifically include "value" in the analysis because otherwise the answer will always be to buy the latest of course - they don't downgrade them over time!)
Just picked this up for $180 used. Super excited to get it in the mail and play around with it
does it have external mic ?
I have filmed all my videos with rx100 III - the only downside that i see is that you need to record audio separately.
Great review Scott! I love my RX-100 III
Can you please do a review on the canon sx620? I have one but I just want a second opinion on it.
18:55 - that's one hell of a picture. Writing this in 2020 after digging out my RX100 Mark III as a portable alternative to my Nikon D7500.
After much procrastinating I just got this camera for 375UK£. I know it's an old model but I had a MKI and loved it but after 4 years of ill treatment it gave up. Happy I made the right decision so far. Belated thanks for the review.
Actually, despite the screen turning off when using the EVF, the camera battery is rated for LESS photos if you use only the EVF from full battery to empty, vs the same usage with only the LCD. So using the EVF does use more battery , if only slightly, than just using the LCD screen.
sorry but wish the ginger nut would stop interrupting when the other guy is trying to explain something, really annoying
The Mark 3 doesn't have phase detect focus. That starts on the Mark 5 I believe. The Mark 3 has contrast detection.
Got one a week ago and so far am finding it great as a stealthy street photography camera. Was shocked though by the price tag and as always, if as I do, you only use Linux, you have a problem getting the pictures from camera to computer. When will tech manufacturers wake up to the fact Linux is for many the OS of choice?!
Which one better in photography g7x mii or sony rx 100 m iii. Plz help me.Sir.
Is it only good for indoor photos? How bout a subject infront of a sun/bright area?
Several years later, buying a Mark iii . Thanks for the thorough and professional review.🤙
This video could have been distilled into something half the length.
Good stuff!
I've been looking for a companion camera lately and I am really intrigued by the rx iii. I have been shooting with my 5d Mark iii 85 f1.2 for years now and this one Sony comes into play very well when reaching them tight spots and daily shots when I don;'t want to lug the big boy out. Thank you for the review fellas!
Shame about the ginger guy with the interrupting big mouth
Loved this review but found the stupid, sexist comment about “mums” irritating. Not all mums are technophobes and some are even photographers!
thanks for the this video. Bought the RX100M3 as a supplemental to my NIKON D90 prior to a cruise. couldn't be happier with it. videos like this one are helping get more/better of the finer aspects of this gem.
I'm just about to order mine <3 an early Christmas present. :)
You didn't even show how the screen moves...
Though helpful, your reviews are too damn long. You should put a contents sort of thing to the caption, with the corresponding minutes/seconds of the video. Most of the time, I look for something, than give up and close the video.
Love the LX100, it has everything I want with the exception of the size. Such a shame. I have full size DSLR's and mirrorless with the supersize bags to carry all the kit in. I wanted something decent but very portable. I opted for the RX100 mkIV. As you said, it's the old adage "The best camera you have is the one you have with you"
why a 30mins limit ? I mean let me shoot videos however long I want. Camcorders dont take good pictures while cameras take good videos.... stupid laws
