Ok Picked this video to learn how to use my camera. You spoke much to fast, I could not follow you, you were switching modes, I did not know what you were selecting. Then you mention creative mode, where is that. I am very disappointed, and will look for a video that actually shows me how to use the camera, where these modes are, how to get to them would be a nice place to start.
Does this camera have raw shooting option?
If you have a Sony RX100 camera and you want a spare battery charged and at the ready then do like I've done and by another compact from Sony like the DSC-WX350 then that way you can swap between batteries when the RX100 has run out of charge. Then by yourself a portable power bank to charge the dead battery in the WX350. This way you have the sophistication of the RX100 combined with the 20 times zoom range of the WX350. 😀
Fucking sony, separate folders for pic and videos, and you have to go to settings to find it? They have the worst menus !

you are comparing 3 completely different camera's. Make up your mind what you find more important, Autofocus with moving subjects and lot's of accesoires go Nikon D7100 Compact camera with decent ammount of accesoires go Sony Nex or other mirrorless camer's if you want a small camera with excellent quality but with no options to change your lens go for the RX100, Panasonic LX7 or Pentax MX1.
I just purchased this camera. It takes awesome photos. However, I do miss the 24mm wide angle on my trusty old LX3.

I have the RX100 and it's awesome for close range shots. However, the focal range is limited. So when I want an advanced digital point and shoot for longer range shots, such as certain zoo shots, I go with the Nikon P7700, otherwise, I use my Nikon S5100. And both Nikons use the same battery so when I have to charge one I can switch off with the other one.

Can we stop with the 35mm equivalent, please? The lens is a 10.4 to 37.1mm lens with f1.8 to f4.9 on a 1inch sensor. Get a full-frame with a 10.4mm lens on it at f1.8 and then compare. Well, you can't, obviously, compare, it's called a false equivalency. Like saying a short person who jumps half their hight, jump the same height as a tall person jumping half their hight. Stop with the silliness, can we?
B&H had this basic camera back for sale in Fall 2020. I was surprised. I bought one. Still learning it. It might be a good B video camera...
