I have bought Sony 65X80J and when I turn it off we hear a click sound. Is it normal?
Kd50x80j or kd50x81j? Help please.. i play to ps4, and i use netflix
The man at my local retailer who convinced me to buy this tv, did say: this tv doesnt do 120hz but does have a feature that improves it from 60hz he called it motion something. I dont know if it was business jargon, but he told me it does help gaming etc.
Thanks for the review; I purchased my 43X80J a few weeks ago and I am as pleased and impressed as you are with the overall quality for the price point. Put simply - it serves my viewing needs more than satisfactorily. Im in the UK and the one major grip I have is that Sony decided not to include the following apps - BBC iPlayer, ITV, All4 and Eurosport. These apps should be a standard inclusion within any TV sold in the UK so it was disappointing to discover this. When I quizzed Sony their response wasthis is a temporary situation, but one that is currently beyond our control and very much in the hands of 3rd party service provider. Your TV is ready for these applications once the situation moves forward. You can still enjoy the catch-up TV content by using your mobile device to cast content to your Sony TV until the app situation is resolved.When I further enquired about the issues with the 3rd part SPsI got - cricketsAs you have Sonys attention, you may want to pursue this further.
How does it comparw to the 2020 Sony X900H?
I want to purchase Sony 65 inch led. Confused between 8000 H vs 80 J. Difference is of Rs.11000. Which should we go for?

Im curious to see how this compares to the x90J.
My X80J is doing a stellar job. It replaced an X900E that was kaput after a pet mishap. After just a few tweeks it performs almost as well as the X900E even though that TV had a FALD screen. My only regret is that I couldn't purchase the 65 inch screen because the US only gets the wide leg configuration.Well done Sony!
I feel like the Samsung au8000 would be a better comparison for your next review than the au9000
Is the central position only on the European models? I haven't found it on a US model of the x80j

I'd like to hear your opinion on the X85J/X89J (when it's out), higher spec, better design, with HDMI 2.1, I believe making Sony the only brand who has this spec at 43 inch and above.
If you review the X85J might I suggest reviewing the 50" version that has a VA panel with better contrast and dark levels.

RTINGS. My question is for the X90J. Does the stand have a narrow mode for 55" and 65"? Because according to a sony video(First Look: Sony X90J by sony europe), it can be adjusted for both narrow and wide. Can you confirm this?

so I have an old sony dvd player that comes with a surround sound. In order to use it, I currently use an RCA cable in the player and the tv (both ends are the red and white). Would using the RCA on one end and headphone jack on the other end be compatible with this tv? I just dont know how these new tvs work because in the past I just used the audio in and out ports.

Awesome review Steve. I just bought a 75 inch and Im enjoying it so far. However, I do have one hiccup. I cant seem to get the fuzzy pixels off the screen when watching sports (especially basketball). My 2014 Samsung is clearer and its a 60 hz as well. Im assume its a setting issue. Ive looked online everywhere all the suggestions I got didnt seem to help. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks again

Can you tell me the width/length of the legs. I have a tv table that's 12 1/2 in deep and 45 in long. Don't want to do a wall mount so would rather find something to accommodate the difference with something else like a board etc. Thank you for your help.

I bought this TV but 65 inches and returning it due to two annoying red spots showing on the screen on dark backgrounds. Sony support is imposible to reach and now walmart wants me to bring the large 65 inch TV to a local store when I ordered it from Walmart online and it was brought to me at my house. Now I have the inconvenience and expense to bring it over to the store. It does not fit in my car. I am not a happy camper at this moment.

I purchased this to upgrade my living room TV and the x90j for my media room, and I wish I just bought 2 x80js.The difference in picture quality isnt worth the additional $750 price tag on the x90j imo and the x80j actually has better viewing angles (by a lot).

This tv is suppose to support dolby vision. But when I put in one of my 4k dolby vision movies it won't. I checked the settings on my TV with no sucess.

Idea. Do a comparison with the X80J and last years 900H and/or 950H. The reason being is to see how much improvement the new set has over the better sets of the last generation. It would be easier to understand the differences of the new generation by understanding how much closer or better the second tier set is to last generations top(ish) tier sets. It would also clarify an understanding of how much sets have improved. Imagine if the X80J can comfortably be at the level of the 900H? Its easier to get the picture (npi) of how much better this years sets are when a comparison like this is done. Idea?
